Nov. 11 - Visit the Peace Tower after attending the Remembrance Day event. The weather was lousy, rainy and flurries off and on. My wait for the elevator was not long, once on the elevator the staff told the history etc. Once the door opens for Peace Tower it was "Wow" expression. The first thing that caught my eye was the ceiling. The view from the top was amazing regardless the weather or time of the day. The roundabout of the tower can hold about 20 twenty people comfortable. Every corner has gargoyle with inscription about the hill. You can visit the tower without a tour of the parliament. Once the tower is open just tell them you would like to visit the tower only and you need to go through security. Not sure if there is a lift for wheel chair, but you have to walk up to the 3rd floor to get the elevator. On the 3rd floor they are coat hangers and washroom etc. The Memorial Chamber is on the 3rd Fl, the encouraged you to visit, it was very interested place with name of the war veteran etc. Amazing stain glass windows. The visit was well worth it.
