3 couples attended this Saturday evening dinner.
Chef was featuring a pork dish ("poitrine de porc avec asperges et champignons grillés") with a beet and onion soup as a starter. 4 of us went that, one for a chicken breast and the other for the salmon. The soup, chicken, and salmon turned out to be good choices and got good reviews.
However, that day's feature pork dish was a total disaster. 2 squares of pork bellies (fat only was visible on all our plates) were sitting atop a serving of bacon navy beans. All 4 of us ended up leaving what was supposed to the meat portion of our dishes on the plate after having cut this up in various ways to locate something edible in there. This cut of meat is certainly one of the worst choices we had seen to be served as a feature - in fact, none of us felt it belonged on a table. The accompanying asparagus and mushrooms were dry - having spent a bit too much time on the grill.
With this behind, we went for the apple pie for two, a specialty of the restaurant. The portion was hearthy and the temperature just right (not too hot or cold). The concensus however was that the recipe could use something to sweeten the taste a bit and cooking time should be extended since the apples were still too crispy for our taste.
Therefore, I would not recommend this establishment until some improvements have been made in the kitchen.
