4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2012

Went there on 2011. The hotel is clean, room is very comfortable and the bed is large, warm and soft. The environment is silent and clear, so I had an excellent sleep there. Location is great, maybe not the best (depending on your interests), but is very near shopping centers, bus stop, restaurants, tourist attractions etc. I would personally get back there whenever I go to Ottawa.

We stayed in Queen Room with Sofa Bed.
*Enough parking spaces. $5 per day.
*Location is pretty good. 10 minutes working to all the landmarks.
*WIFI signal is stable in the room.
*Stuff cleans the room everyday.

Location was great - only a few minutes walk to the market, drinking, eating, and shopping. Can't beat that. Guy working at the front desk was friendly. They are pet friendly with no charge, but if you travel with a pet, you have to stay on the first floor in a smoking room...so we had a smelly stay...and now the dog is smelly. The smokey odors in the room combined with the first floor outdoor entrance made us feel a bit like we were staying in a crack den motel but the price was right for the location and parking was only $5. The smoking room with all its smokey goodness smells could have been made better if they changed the bedspread with every guest...the sheets were fine but the nasty smoky bedspread was not pleasant. Otherwise fine and we made it out alive...would think 3 times before booking again.

Room Tip: Try to avoid first floor smoking section - unless you like to smoke/enjoy the smell of old smoke. Re...

Typical Days Inn. Stay because it is located where you need to be and it is cheaper than a lot of places. The staff are business like but not friendly. The lobby is small and not inviting. The room's greatest asset was that the bed was very comfortable. It was quiet as well until the midnight fire alarm went off and we had to leave our room for an hour while the fire department searched the hotel and found it safe to return.

It's fine but no great shakes.

Took an overnight trip to Ottawa for a Sens game, then stayed downtown at the Days Inn so we could walk to Parliament. The room was fine, no noise other than buses on Rideau Street, smelled clean, beds were good, extra pillows in the dresser drawers, and the front desk was very friendly. They let us keep our car in the lot past the 11:00 am checkout at no extra charge so we could get our walking tour in. 15 minute walk to Parliament with two young kids, so you can't beat the location. Parking lot was icy but hey, it's Ottawa in February. $100 plus parking. We'll stay again.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2012

Stayed here in February 2012 for one night, returning for my second visit. It's the standard you expect from a chain like this. My room was furnished with two Queen beds and a desk.

I arrived a little earlier than check-in time, but was checked-in without hesitation. The hotel is within walking distance to Byward Market, Rideau Canal Locks and Parliament Buildings, the main reason I chose this hotel. Other hotels I checked out online were more expensive. So this hotel offered a good value for money.

Parking is extra.
