As many other reviewers has claimed, this is a good hotel. Welcoming staff, large rooms, clean and close to everything.

The hotel was extremely clean,the staff was very welcoming and friendly. the free continental breakfast was fabulous,great hot and cold spread. The room size was very large and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were very welI maintained and warm and clean. We have stayed at a lot of hotels in the last few years and this has to be one of the best. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Exactly what previous reviewers have written. This chain has set a high standard of excellence at a reasonable price and delivers again in Ottawa. Granted the location is not downtown, but the distance is not great and the amenities more than make up for the location.
Large, clean rooms, the biggest bathroom I've ever had in a moderately priced hotel and excellent service from all the staff.
Will be back for Winterlude again next year!

Just a quick note to say this is a wonderful hotel! As other guests have noted, the rooms are enormous! But more importantly, they are clean and stylish and combined with the helpful staff, proximity to bus route downtown (right outside the door) free parking, free wireless internet in the room, and pool, I would highly recommend it.

I wouldn't let the location deter me at all. It really only takes 10 mins. to ride the bus downtown, and it's very easy to do so. My 14 year old daughter and I enjoyed the Canada Day 2007 long weekend here, and the only drawback was that the hotel bar was temporarily closed (no big deal really) and breakfast was very crowded with no room to sit in the dining room. You could just take food back to the room though, so no big hassle. I would expect this on a holiday weekend, so It's not really a complaint. I would never pay more to stay closer downtown since this was an incredible deal for us, and we are very picky and experienced travelers.
