I have been here many times over my 66 years, probably a dozen plus since I live five hours away by road. Every time I visit I see something I missed before & I marvel at the work that has been done over the years since the fire that left just the Library standing. The Peace Tower with the clock in it has an elevator that does not travel in a straight line up, but adjusts for the stonework shaft is the best way I can explain it. I have a picture left to me of the original meeting spot of Parliament in Kingston, Ontario which happened to be a ordinary large house which is probably not there now. The Fathers Of Confederation meeting in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island lefty a great building to visit as a adjunct to this building in Ottawa.
