Our family and our friends' family stayed at the Delta Ottawa for our march break retreat. It actually turned out to be a great hotel! We got a suite, which were incredibly large and spacious. It felt like a condo! It was nice because the television/living room area was in a seperate room from the two bedrooms, so we could put the kids to bed and stay up without bothering them.
The hotel was a very short distance from many different attractions and restaurants, which was very nice because we got a lot of sightseeing in. The excercise centre was especially nice.
There were a few minor negative points, however. For one, the suites were located right beside the elevator shafts, and the noise from the elevators at night was a bit annoying. The restaurants that were actually in the hotel were a tad overpriced, and they didn't have a lot of selection.
The biggest letdown, however, had to be the pool. The actual swimming pool was nice, and it had a hot tub. But, one of the main reasons we chose the Delta in the first place was because it boasted a 'giant 2storey waterslide', supposedly the only hotel in downtown Ottawa where this was available. But, the waterslide turned out to be quite small, not very clean and closed half of the time. However, if you do happen to figure out when it's open, your kids should have fun on it nonetheless.
All in all, our family really enjoyed our stay at the Delta Ottawa and we would probably reccomend it to others. We had no real major issues, and hopefully you won't either.
