While we go to other Works locations in Ottawa, we normally visit the St-Laurent Blvd location. As other reviews of Works locations have noted, they have a long list of burger toppings, and several types of burgers you can get (beef, organic, chicken... I forget the others). Burgers come with a choice of the usual sides, like fries or onion rings, but I usually get the Bold Slaw, which is a creamier cole slaw, but with a bit of a jalepeno kick.
The St-Laurent Blvd location is accessible via the number 7 OCTranspo bus, and is close to the Aviation Museum and the RCMP stables.
While I put down $16/pp for the cost, the cost of the burgers varies depending on the toppings chosen. I usually get one of the burgers that costs roughly $12.50, and we split an appetizer. The last time I was there, this past Saturday, I paid $30 - that covered a perfectly done burger, half of a tower of rings, one beer, taxes, and tip. Not the cheapest evening out, but it was worth it.
One bit of advice about this or other Works restaurants, they can be very very busy, and since the burgers can take 20 min to cook, the turnover of tables is not that fast. If you are in a group of 4 or less (especially if there are only two of you) the wait is not normally too long, but larger groups should probably consider going at a less-busy time (call ahead to see how busy they are). As far as I know they don't take reservations.
