Description: Located in the heart of Downtown Oakville and Historic Village Square, Paradiso offers much more than a place to have an exquisite meal. The warm, intimate atmosphere flows throughout the restaurants but the heart of Paradiso can be found in the open concept kitchen. The cuisine which draws inspiration for the European Mediterranean is prepared before your eyes and it's easy to see why "Dinner IS The Show" keeps guests coming back again and again. Paradiso offers innovative entertaining concepts for corporate team building events, winemaker's dinners, and weekly recreational hands-on cooking classes in the Cooking Studio. The interactive cooking classes at Paradiso cater to individuals and groups, and Read admits these popular classes book up very quickly. The recreational classes are inspired by culinary Mediterranean regions such as Italy, Greece, Spain and France. The Cooking Studio also offers classes for those who want to hone their skills. The most popular class is the Signature Dishes of Paradiso. The culinary team building classes promote collaboration and communication between team members. Co-workers enjoy a unique and rewarding hands-on cooking experience that nurtures teamwork and leadership.

“Great place to dine in Oakville”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

We have been here several times and often enjoy sitting in the kitchen area to observe some of the action. This makes for great entertainment while dining, providing that you need to be entertained. If not, there are quieter areas. The food is generally good and the Spaghetti Bolognaise is huge. Some of the other dishes such as the chicken and pork chop, although very good, are lacking in quantity and therefore do not suggest good value for the price.
The restaurant has one of the few outdoor dining areas in Oakville but you are sitting on the sidewalk and it is a bit tacky without ambience or view.
Our last visit to this restaurant was a little spoiled as we has a waitress, JACQ, who was not very attentive and seemed to have a poor attitude. Maybe she was just tired after a long-week-end but we will try to avoid this particular server on our next visit. Yes, we will be going back!
My suggestion to this restaurant is to get their staff smiling and improve the outdoor area. Enhance the quantities on some of the dishes and then I’m sure that Paradiso will be hard to beat as one of the best restaurants in Oakville.

“Very dissapointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

My best friend & I went there for dinner last night - we should have definitely gone elsewhere. I've known the place for a long time - my husband & I have been there on many occasions in the past, and it used to be a tasty experience. Not any more.

I had bruschetta made with "home made bread" - didn't expect soggy slices of poppy seed egg bread. Marroccan chicken was so overpowered by balsamic vinegar and turmeric, it was impossible to taste the chicken & potatoes.

And then there was the service - it was very obvious we were annoying our waitress with any request, question, etc... This was most definitely the last time I even slowed down by that restaurant! Don't bother!

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

I expected better from this restaurant, especially for the price.
The best part about this restaurant was the service.
Beware of the Olive Oil. They serve their own pure *STRONG* Olive Oil on a lot of their dishes, and I suggest you try it before ordering as it is practically Olive Juice. I do not mind many olive oils but this one was far too overwhelming, I could smell it on me the rest of the day.

“High Prices Negate Value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

This was once a favourite restaurant, good menu, outdoor patio, pretty good wait staff. But a recent visit delivered only reasonable food at a very high price for what we got. I would not rush to go back soon as there are better value places around.
