Food and service were quite enjoyable. My big issue is with the wine list.
It's one of those winelists where very little is from LCBO so you're never sure what sort of mark-up they add. The 2 or 3 I recognized from LCBO had about a 200% mark-up (three times the LCBO price). That's not unusual, but I feel much better about prices that are pegged with about 150% mark-up.
So then I noticed "7 Deadly Zins" on the list. This is a $25 bottle that is usually not available in Vintages (LCBO). It's on the menu for $85 - a staggering 240%.
The pun is absolutely intended - that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
