After being ripped off and shafted at Wild Water Kingdom I looked for an alternative to take my kids for an all-day swim. I was directed by a neighbor to Bronte Creek... wow what a difference. I was charged only $16 for a full minivan of people and we were allowed to BBQ right on the fence of the swimming pool, not only that we were also allowed to ingress food into the actual pool area.
I loved the atmosphere and the huge space of green areas with their picnic tables, shade from trees was scarce but again you go out in the summer to get tanned right? It was a relief to find out that right smack in the middle of the huge green area there's a cabin containing 4 washrooms, I was mesmerized to see that the washrooms looked like your own washrooms and not like a public washroom! I also liked how the area was patrolled by car and by foot but that the staff never bothered you for your BBQ-ing or because you had so many lawn chairs spread out in the grass. For once in my life (at a provincial park) I felt true freedom.
The swimming pool is huge and can be an adult or a fun kids' pool at the same time, it's huge and round and your kids can swim all around it without fear because there's no "edge" where they can fall to the deep end, to reach the deep end you have to walk and walk to the center, smart layout! I totally recommend this place to anybody!
