"Fin Izakaya" in Toronto has been know to our small group Japanese for a while for having authentic Japanese izakaya (tapa style) menu and being reasonable. So when I heard from a friend that Fin would open in Oakville we were excited.
one night we decided to have a girls night out at Fin. We arrived hungry and ready to eat. It was Saturday but it was quiet so we expected the food to come quick but it didn't...it took forever to come out and when they finally arrived, we were so surprised how small each portions were. As for the clams cooked in sake we sort of expected there to be a healthy portion of the clams (in Japan if you order one of those you will get bunch of clams) but we had to laugh when we saw 8 or so tiny clams sitting in a small paddle of broth.
We spend around 100 dollars per person and came out still hungry. For 100 dollars I am sure we could have gorged ourselves with delicious Sushi.
I would never go back there again unless they change the portion size and the price.
