“Good addition”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

Oakville needs more independent coffee shops that offer decent quality. I just discovered Kerr Street Cafe and have been very pleased with the quality of food, service and especially the coffee.

“Best Cafe in Oakville!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

I love the food at Kerr Street Cafe. Everything I have had there is incredible, fresh, healthy and delicious. Kerr. Street cafe is not expensive - if you want food made from scratch using fresh, high quality ingredients and to feel good after you eat then this is your place. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. They definitely get busy at times but that is to be expected when you are going to eat a such a great find in the heart of Oakville! I highly recommend Kerr Street cafe for the best breakfast and lunch around. It is a wonderful place to meet friends, family or host a business lunch. Just a great overall feeling and experience.

“Great place for Coffee but expensive to eat there”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We just recently discovered this lovely cafe in Oakville. It serves wonderful coffee (even has flat whites which reflects the owner's New Zealand heritage). However the food is rather expensive for what you get - it was quite tasty, but for the prices they should be including side salads. If you order their special sandiwiches for the day that is all you get.
This can be a great place and I hope they survive, but their prices are like what you would pay in downtown toronto and you get less for it. Most places including their nearby competition at SToney's provide salads with their sandwich specials.
Also the staff is not too alert, when i tried to pay they forgot what we ordered and I had to repeat it several times. It can be a wonderful place and I will certainly go back for coffee but I would not recommend eating there until they get their act in order.

“Excellent Fare!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

A friend and I went to Sunday brunch at this restaurant, partly based on the reviews I read. The food was wonderful! We both had the benny over spinach and corn bread with a side of fresh avocado! It was the best benny brunch I've ever tasted. No sides and portion just right but may not be enough for a big eater. Be prepared for a small number of tables, crowded and rather expensive....but if you want to treat your taste buds, it warrants a visit.

“Excellent (but pricey) breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

We had breakfast at the cafe which is reminiscent of somewhere you'd eat while in the Hampton's; cottage chic. The french toast with orange butter and maple syrup was the best we'd ever had. They also make a great cup of coffee. The staff were friendly and made us feel like locals. The only downfall was the limited menu and the price; ($35 for french toast and coffee with no free refills; eek!) However we would gladly return and recommend it.
