The Mandarin has been my long time favorite restaurant for chinese food. Recently there has been a change in staff and I find the staff not as good as previously. ..bustling around but not going anywhere ...unable to communicate with a question re: a friend's allergy question.
The food is still good but I would have to say not as great as in the past. I don't know if there has been a change in the chef or not, but that being said when I attended a larger dinner party there , the food was very good....so maybe there is a different chef on different days?They do have the best eggrolls in town...consistently!

“EXCELLENT SELECTION”

You just can't beat the selection, service and pricing at this franchise. Well worth the money and the wait.

Takeout is excellent and good value - haven't tried the eat-in. Combo dishes very generous and reasonable..

“Great Chinese Food”

You never want to be in a hurry when dining in or taking out. Food is cooked fresh and is well worth the wait. Our family has been eating here for 10 years. I always make sure I order enough to have seconds the next day. Best Chinese in and can't wait to have more of their food.

“Good Chinese food”

Short distance from all of the hotels and motels on lakeshore drive so it was nice to be able walk after a long day driving. Waitress was pleasant and had several large parties besides a couple of tables and myself. I ordered a mixed vegetable and meat dish and it was delicious and filling in itself . I didn't need rice to fill up thre was so much to eat and enjoy. And counting a glass of wine and a tip it was twenty dollars or so. Quite reasonable and worth every penny.
