Stopped here on a whim because the sign said pickerel fish & chips!! My 92 year old aunt (sister Lauriette Adam) was even able to come to the patio because of a 1 step up entrance at the rear of the patio.
Found out the owner is usually on site and is a a chef in her own right!! Her own recipes are used and we were so impressed that we will be going back shortly(within a few weeks). The pickerel bites are lightly battered and are EXCELLENT!
1 order of fish & chips and one order of pickerel bites was almost too much for the 3 of us. Good thing we did not have the cole slaw and beans! Friendly service and scenery over Lake Nipissing is second to none! There is a lot of traffic at the restaurant bur also at the gas bar and the corner store which has a great selection of coffees and also very friendly staff.
If you drive by and feel a bit hungry be sure to stop; you won't regret it. In fact, you'll be back!!
