“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2008

This was a great place. It was part of a hotel package we received and we were glad to have the dinner be part of it! It's a cute little hotel as well in a cute house that has an older feel to it. Lovely garden outside where you could walk around and take pictures. The food and service was GREAT! We would definitely recommend it. The place to go if you don't mind spending money for a nice dinner and a nice atmosphere. Not far from Queen street either so great to go for a walk afterwards. Overall, a wonderful experience.

“What an amazing experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2008

WOW......this was no ordinary dinner...it was a culinary experience! It is clear from the moment you are seated that you are in for a real feast. I have never had such an incredible meal accompanied with the most amazing wines. Our server (Gavin) was extremely knowledgeable and a lot of fun! Our entire experience was just about 4hrs and worth every minute!! You will never forget a meal here:)

“When you want the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2008

We first read about the Charles Inn in Toronto Life where it was ranked the highest rated Restaurant in Niagara by James Chatto, who we love and normally find very reliable. Since it was not a place we were familiar with, we decided to live a little dangerously and venture away from our usual line-up of restaurants we enjoy while in town. Well, once again Mr. Chatto didn't disappoint. We were staying at Harbour House hotel (amazing place to stay) and packaged our stay with a dinner at the Charles. It could not have been better. The server had extensive knowledge of wine and was happy to spend time at our table discussing the proper pairings with our menu choices. When the food came it was absolutely beautiful. The filet was cooked to perfection, the sea bass could not have been more tender and flavourful and every side and appetizer was as exciting to taste and savour as it was to look at and smell. Well done Charles, we used to come to Niagara to visit the winery restaurants as they were known to be the best but you have outdone any dining experience we have ever had while here. It's not a matter of us coming back, but merely how soon we can get there.

“Still Number 1”

I just ate at the Charles Inn, and their new spring menu is incredible. The beef with truffle and the whitefish are superb. Also, the white asparagus soup and the duck confit gnocchi are quite brilliant.
