“Deserving of its AAA 4-diamond rating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Excellent service with an interesting menu in a lovely setting. All courses served were excellent. The prix fixe tasting menu is a terrific value for this area in my opinion. Large selection of local wines available by the glass as well as by the bottle.

“2nd visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

seated at table by window with beautiful view of gardens. waitress was excellent. we had been there 2 years ago and dinner was excellent . this time food was average. except for best carrot cake I have ever eaten. it was light and wonderful. waitress said piece was too small to share but, it was big and rich enough for 2. I would not go back for 3rd visit.

“Quiet night life”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

We dropped in post theatre and were the only guests. Too bad - a classic cocktail lounge/bar like this deserves to be full and lively.

“Wonderful!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

The restaurant manager Kim is so warm and friendly and knows her wines! We had lunch there a few days ago and loved everything about it. We each had an appetizer and a main and I have to say the sauce served with the crab cakes was outstanding!

“Home of the $16 hamburger and $18 Fish and Chips”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

This is a high end Niagara on the Lake Hotel restaurant and the high prices follow the pattern of most other things in the town. While the food is good it is nothing special and does not justify a $16 hamburger or $18 fish and chips

Also one would expect superb service but we were brought the wrong order (clubhouse instead of burger) and had to wait 10 minutes to get it corrected with no offer of any reduction in bill or additional items. Otherwise service was pleasant.

You are sort of left with the feeling that it is a privilege to eat there
