We found out a week before our wedding that we would not be able to stay at the location of our wedding during the week prior to our big day. We scrambled around to find a location and were blessed with this gem of a location!

Right off the Niagara Parkway on the way into Niagara-on-the-Lake, you might miss this historic gem. We (luckily) had GPS in the rental car, so only went past it once! Upon arrival, we ring the bell, having only stayed at a B&B once before, and being unsure of protocol. We were quickly greeted by Kelly and ushered in for a tour of the house and a brief history lesson.

All rooms downstairs were available to guests and my biggest surprise was glancing around and seeing all of the items around anticipating guests needs. Examples: fresh pool towels next to the door, a table with bottled water in the rooms and next to the door for your trip out. There is a library of books and videos. Paperbacks can be taken with you upon departure.

Next we get to our room, the red rose. We see a beautiful canopy bed, wardrobe, and giant bathroom complete with whirlpool tub, makeup table and pedestal sink. The room was beautifully decorated for the historic period. Note to all you technogeeks- there are no TV's in the room and high speed internet access isn't available on Niagara Parkway! This leads to a very relaxing experience for those of us who are too wired for our own good.
I forgot to mention, Peter even carried our bags up to our room for us!

Breakfast: Wow. Peter, Kelly's husband, is responsibly for the culinary delights. Each morning breakfast started with a fresh bowl of local berries/fruit and was followed by a warm egg dish with accenting morning breads/veggies. Kelly determines if you are a tea or coffee drinker and check in and ensures that your preferences are readily available. If you would like to get going prior to breakfast service a 9, a variety of pastries, breads, and yogurt parfait are available.

While we didn't swim in the pool ( we didn't have time!) it was beautiful and heated. Seating areas outside were available and perfect for sipping morning coffee and enjoying the lush greenery. They have bikes available to guests which are perfect for the bike paths that run alongside the Niagara Parkway.

Along with providing a beautiful and relaxing location, Kelly went out of her way to help me in my wedding stress. She found places for us to eat, found places with nail/hair appointments available, and let me watch the CNN headlines (they had satellite) in their residence when I was going through news withdrawal. Her cute and funny dog Jake was also a great add to the house. We missed our dogs so much, but we were allowed to get our dog fix!

In conclusion, we will go back to The Coach Stop for our anniversary because we loved not only the accommodations, but also that Kelly and Peter extended themselves so fully to their guests.
