“Breakfast desert?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

The B & B was a delight both for cleanliness and location (just far off the main drag to give us a bit of exercise walking). Of particular note is the quality of the cuisine. I can’t say food because the breakfast was well beyond the usual B & B fare with three tasteful courses including desert. Highly recommended.

Dessert with Breakfast, what a great idea! This lovely inn is a well run family business. Maria and Joe do a wonderful job of providing a lovely setting for a good night's sleep and a breakfast to die for. The frittata that Joe created was outstanding, the mini vegetable paninis were great and dessert consisting of cream puffs with caramel sauce were perfection on a plate. Rush to book this place!

Although the rooms are comfortable, stylish and clean, the multi-course breakfast continues to steal the show here. This year they've gilded an already glittering lily by serving on a pleasant patio in good weather. Highlights of this year were poached eggs over polenta with smoked turkey and spinach, an omelet garnished with a perfect crispy take-off on a potato pancake, and a goat-cheese-and-arugula bruschetta as an "amuse" before the hot course. There were lovely cheeses served on the cold fruit and pastries buffet, but do not succumb to the temptation to fill your plate--there will be at least two more courses to follow!

Not knowing what to expect since I have never stayed in a B&B before,I was more than pleasantly exposed to a whole deferent way of spending a night away from home.
The wonderful hosts of this home,Maria and Joe did everything possible to make us feel like family rather than just two more guests.Maria even took a break from her precious time of caring for this 3 room establishment to drive us ito Niagra twice(!)since we had no car of our own and wouldn't hear our offers of compensating her for her troubles.
Breakfast was the absolute highlight of our stay though with Joe's amazing cooking, poached eggs on polenta with spinach, sandwich bites with chèvre, eggplant, zucchini and a lovely desert composed of poached fresh peaches and delicate crepes along with all the other complimentary items, fresh croisants, cheese.great marmalades etc. and fantastic coffee to wash it all down with. The next day was another lovely culinary experience.
The other couples we met while sharing breakfast with them were regular customers of Via Veveto as we found out and were charmed by this house's hospitality, friendliness and quality as we were, the environment making our acquaintance to the other guests easy as if they were old friends with our chatting continuing for hours into the morning.
The room was immaculate in its cleanliness and the mattress and linen a pleasure to sleep in.
Bravo Maria and Joe.You have made me see and experience a totally different way of spending my days away from home and now I'm very skeptical about ever staying in all these very impersonal hotels where I have spent a good part of my life in the past.My thanks go out to both of you...

Room Tip: No need, all three rooms are similar.

Thanks to Maria and Joe for making us feel so comfortable at your home. The breakfast was delicious - homemade jams, italian meat and cheese and then TWO more courses of extremely high quality cooking. Great to chat with the other guests at breakfast. Our stay in the "Venice" room was perfect - everything was spotless and modern. The house is located less than a mile from the cute downtown area with shops, restaurants and theater.
