“Wonderful location and people in the heart of wine country!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Such a great place with great people...me and my girlfriend came up on Canadian Thansgiving (unbeknownst to us), and Denis took care of us, even though this wife was out of town and his own mother had to cook us breakfast! The location is great...5 minutes or so from old town Niagara on the lake, but very close to the local wineries on 55...there is a winery LITERALLY in the back yard! Thanks for the wonderful stay and we will be back!

We stayed here for one night on our way back to New York as we wanted to visit Niagara-on-the-Lake. The location is excellent on a quiet country road and only about five minutes to NOTL.

We were greeted by Barbara who was working out front and her husband Denis showed us to our room. Both are warm and friendly hosts.

The three rooms are upstairs and we stayed in the Champagne room. We had a couple of pieces of luggage and the first thing we noticed was how small the room is. The luggage had to be stored near the door.

The decor was nice but with the blinds and curtains sealing off the window, it felt dark and closed in. There was a tiny TV/VCR combo on the dresser that I never could get to work.
We went into NOTL and had a good time. When we came back, the room was quite warm even though we were told the AC was on. I put the ceiling fan on high and that helped somewhat.

The bathroom was good size and the shower/tub looked new and very clean. Some minor points but little things can add up as detractors: no box or dispenser of tissues in either room. Also, some plastic cups or glasses would have been appreciated as my wife and I both take a lot of pills. We used the small wine glasses on the dresser for that. A coffee maker would have been a plus as you have to wait until 8:30 AM before house coffee is ready. The sitting room had tea bags and a hot water maker but we don't drink tea early in the morning.

The breakfast was served gourmet style and superb, in a formal dining room setting. Barb was very attentive to guest needs during the meal. The time, though, could be adjusted to an earlier sitting as it's not ready until 9 AM. Other B&Bs we've stayed at had a 1.5 - 2 hour period where guests could serve themselves buffet style and usually from 7 to 9 AM. If you have to depart earlier than 9 AM you miss something that you've pre-paid. Also, we asked for coffee for our commuter cups on departing but the coffee was done for the morning.

The price was very reasonable and less expensive than staying downtown. We would stay here again but in a larger room the next time. All in all, it was an enjoyable overnight stay.

Very welcoming and comfortable ...perfect location for touring the neighboring wineries ... Pond View is within walking distance and offered some excellent wines. Our room was clean, comfortable and a pleasure to "come home" to .... and overlooked seemingly endless rows of grapevines. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful in both setting up our itinerary and recommending places to eat. Breakfast was excellent and very well presented. We hope to return for the Wine Festival later this year.

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful B&B we stayed during the week when the rates were a little cheaper but honestly after the wonderful time we had we wouldn't care when we go! What wonderful and pleasant hosts we had.they made sure we were comfortable and the breakfast was out of this world, who needed lunch!! It was close to all the wineries, the town and the falls .we just can't say enough good things about it.we are recommending it to everyone!!!

My girlfriend and I just had a spectacular weekend at Vineyard View B&B. Our room was lovely. Barb and Denis couldn't have been nicer. The breakfast was to die for. This place was also about $100 cheaper than anything else in town. It really is a steal. I highly recommend this place.

One of the best b&b's we've ever stayed in. Denis and Barbara were excellent hosts. The rooms were very comfortable, great bed.
The breakfasts certainly set you up for the day.
The house is perfectly situated for the wineries and 10 minutes from Niagara on the Lake.
When we come back we will go back to this B&B.

Although I've yet to meet a bad host at a B & B, Denis & Barbara are amongst the best at making a guest feel welcome & comfortable in their home. Our rooms were most satisfactory & we were provided with a substantial breakfast. The veranda is the star of the show though, especially since it is surrounded by fields of vines. It was our place to congregate, enjoy a few drinks & chat in the evening, which was heartily encouraged by our hosts. To some this location will be a bit too far outside of Old Town, but this view from the veranda is something that the intown locations can't provide.
