Not that many nice hotels let the pooch come along, but this one does, with no restrictions on size. So our 80lb hound came along and they treated him, and us by association, really well. The room was large with a gas fireplace. Really nice bathroom. Big comfortable bed. A tad cold because the dog-friendly room is over the parking garage, but turn on the fireplace, and all's well. Lots of nice things for the dog in the room. Breakfast is in a diningroom, but since you can't leave the dog unattended, one of us went. The staff offered to give us a tray to carry our food back to room, so we didn't have to eat alone. Nice touch. All in all, nice place for a winter getaway -- has a Cape Cod nautical feel to the decor. And it's walking distance to the lake and the town center.
