I just came back from a trip to NOTL and stayed at Meheroo's place with my friend. I had decided to stay there based on the great number of positive reviews on your site - but our stay turned out to be quite disappointing.
Sure, the place is kept immaculately clean and the house is nice. As far as the breakfasts are concerned, I tend to differ with most people: I found the food to be good but nothing special, and unlike most people who wrote these reviews, this was not my first B&B experience. I find that a pool of overly sweet jam in a pastry shell from the local grocery store's freezer is anything but inspiring as a "third course".
The problem with this B&B, in my opinion, is that it is all about Meheroo, whereas the attention should be focused on the guests. If you read the reviews, you will see that people keep talking about her. She's a nice lady but tends to be very patronizing.
For us, visiting Meheroo's place was just like visiting an old distant aunt you've never met before and who's very strict and set in her ways. The whole breakfast experience in the morning is an uncomfortable affair at best. B&B's should be about feeling comfortable, just like when you're at home. Our stay in Meheroo's house did not make us feel like we were welcomed guests.
The thing that puzzles me is why there are so many overwhelmingly positive reviews about this B&B on your site. It just doesn't add up.
