Despite the gaudy exterior (they are trying to hard to impress), we decided we wanted to give this place a try. When we entered the winery however, we were told (by Nick Colaneri) that we would have to stand "over to the side" and that we would have to wait about a half hour before having a tasting due to it being busy. I was astounded as 1) it was not exceptionally busy and 2) I've never been asked to stand out of the way EVER when visiting a winery. All of us in our party (8 women around 40 yrs of age) found it rude an unwelcoming. As we left, I mentioned to Mr Colaneri that we did not feel welcome and that it was an unpleasant way to be greeted. He became confrontational and explained that he didn't want people budding in front of other people. DId he think he was bouncing at a club!?!? Ridiculous. When I calmly reiterated that as a potential customer, I wanted to give him the feedback that we did not feel welcome, he appeared to disregard what I said and continued to argue with me. We were appalled that an owner would be so rude to a customer. He seemed to be completely disinterested in how he was presenting himself and how he was representing his business.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you avoid this winery as there are plenty more in the area who would be appreciative of your business. All others we attended were warm and happy to have us there.
