August 2012, my husband and I (we are young seniors) visited Niagara on the Lake because we learned about Music Niagara's concert series. We attended three concerts and they were all GREAT !! What is really interesting is the 11am concerts are at different winerys and during intermission, for a nominal fee, you can sample one of the wines. The early afternoon concerts are normally in area parks or gardens, outdoors. There is a 7pm concert at area landmarks or churches and then at 11pm there is jazz at an area pub. You can sprinkle in a walk in the gardens, visit historic sites are museum. Shop in Niagara on the Lake and enjoy a variety of restaurants. The concerts range from quartets, small ensembles, choirs, classical music, chamber orchestras, jazz quartets, etc. and then let's mention the Shaw Festival. There is just so much to do within a 25 mile radius, and it's a great place to just pamper yourself.
