“Engagement & Proposal with NVWT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014

This weekend was absolutely amazing. Chris from Niagara Vintage Wine Tours helped me organize such a fabulous proposal right from the first pick up. We were picked up in a beautiful Mercedes and taken to three different wineries for my proposal idea. When you go with NVWT you have a very personal experience. Normally you would have to pay for tasting wine after the 3rd glass however, because we were with Niagara Vintage Wine tours, my fiance and I had experienced just of 30 different wines in that one day. It was an amazing experience and very knowledgeable. Our tour guide was Gus, and not only did he explain about wines but the history and formation of Niagara and the impact that Niagara has on the world today. If you do decide to go and do a wine tour, My suggestion is go with Niagara Vintage Wine tours. It would be your best bet.

CONGRATULATIONS !!!
Simeon & Michelle it was an honor you chose us to help plan an amazing life moment, you make an amazing couple! I am so glad that the sun was shining for your helicopter ride and landing at the winery, it was almost meant to be with a break in the weather to get it done!

When we first started our company we knew we would impact people about the world of wine but in our early years we never thought we would be so involved in some of our guests most monumental lifetime moments..... now......we live for it !!!

We work so hard to make sure every detail is as perfect as you expect it to be for any request !

We wish you a lifetime of happiness health and prosperity in a new and growing family unit!

All the best and a HUGE thank you !
We look forward to seeing and you and your family again.

Sincerely

“The Ultimate Food, Beer and Wine Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

This was our first experience in NOTL and after some research we found this tour and were immediately intrigued. The tour did not disappoint! Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable in wine making and the region and each stop was another lesson in wine making and food pairing. We came away after a full day touring, with a greater appreciation of the area and the wine making talents at these artisan wineries. Silversmith Brewery (built in an old church) was a pleasant addition to the wineries and the sampling of craft beers and charcuterie plate was simply amazing. The door to door pick up was A+ in comfort and style. At approximately $170 per person plus tax and tip, we feel it was money well spent and will definitely recommend it to friends and look for other tours with this company.

Thank you for your glowing review!

We recently created this tour, referred to as our 'foodie tour', based on requests and direct feedback from our guests. It is being offered both as a new daily tour option or as a more intimate private tour and includes a brewery stop to expand on the wonderful products being made in Niagara's wine country!

It is great to know you enjoyed each stop and that the professional food and wine pairings added to the educational components we offer in each and every tour.

Thank you for choosing to tour with us and for recommending us to others! We look forward to sharing another wine country experience with you in the future!!

“Fantastic Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

My fiance and I took the evening dinner and wine tour last weekend

We were picked up promptly at 4:15pm from our hotel in Niagara Falls and went on to meet with one other couple. It was nice being in a smaller group!

We visited three wineries, the first was a full tour and six tastings, the second was three tastings and the third included four tastings, although they are small all in all we had tasted a large selection of wine by this point including several ice wines.

We were then driven to Charles Inn at Niagara on the Lake for dinner! Well it was nothing short of amazing! We were seperated into tables of two, which was nice to have some alone time in such a romantic restaurant, it was snowing outside at the time!

There was a choice on the menu of 3 starters and mains and 2 desserts I think! We both had the mushroom taglietelle, which was delicious, I then had salmon and the other half had beef! For dessert I had the cheese cake! Everything was really tasty, the wines were paired with the meal and we had ice wine with the dessert!

After dinner we were driven back, I think we arrived at the hotel around 10pm! Everyone had a great time and got a little tipsy!

I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone holidaying in the area as it is worth every penny spent!

Thank you very much for such a positive and detailed review! This is the type of positive experience and memories we strive to offer each and every guest.

Our lunch or dinner tour both offer a gourmet meal at a private table for each party. We do not provide box lunches or group seating. Whether you book for a private tour or join one of our daily tours we strive to provide a professional experience from beginning to end for each and every guest!

Thank you again for choosing us and please be sure to look us up again if you make it back to our area. We have so much more of our wine country we would love to show you!

“Great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

The tour was fantastic. Our guide Gus was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and all of the wineries. He took us to unique wineries that we probably would not have visited on our own. Due to the time of year we had a private tour, which I think added to the experience. We sampled a great deal of wine and enjoyed many of them so much that we purchased 11 different bottles. My only complaint would be that our tour was described as "Wine and Cheese" and we only tasted cheese at one Vineyard. I expected a bit more. Overall I think the tour was great and I have already recommended it to family and friends. Cheers!

Thank you for choosing to tour with us and for sharing your great experience with others!

The bonus private tour is a real perk to touring during the off-season!

We would love to share one of our more food involved programs such as a gourmet 3 course lunch or dinner or our newly developed 'foodie tour' next time.

Thank you for your feedback and your recommendations!

“Fantastic tour of Niagara”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

I have been to the NOTL region quite a few times and generally tasted by way through the region on my own, but, decided it was time to try a formal tour of the area. Short and simple, it was fantastic.

We had a small group of 4 on this tour and were picked up promptly at our scheduled time by Chris...a self taught wife aficionado and fantastic tour guide.

We began with our first tasting just after 10:00 AM. Wine replaced coffee to kick off the morning. We were greeted upon arriving, the sample sizes were quite generous, and, we got an impromptu behind the scenes look at the facility. The winery seemed very open to allowing us to walk around and sample whatever wines we liked, at will, thanks to having Chris on site with us.

We then went to a second winery for a more structured tour and tasting. Again, we were promptly met, greeted, escorted on a behind the scenes tour, then provided a full tasting, with a bounty of wines from which to taste.

Our tour included a full lunch. They brought us to the Charless Inn for a fantastic 3 course lunch.

From there, we made our way to 2 more wineries. Again, we received the star treatment. The daughter of the owner too us around to the third winery and was very enthusiastic about their product and winery.

At the final location, we received a tasting in a private room overlooking the vineyard.

The selection of wineries was fantastic and varied. For the most part (or perhaps entirely) estate wineries, which is great as it gives you the chance to experience a more intimate setting with passionate people leading the way. Mix that in with a meal at one of the most delicious restaurants in Niagara and you have a winning combination.

I must, once again, give a shout out to Chris, who went above and beyond. This depth of wine knowledge is unparalleled, and, he is a gentleman, having returned to the third winery during our tasting at the final winery to pick up the gloves that my lady left behind. Fantastic service and a great experience. If you are looking for a wine tour, I would definitely recommend Niagara Vintage Wine Tours.

Thank you for your detailed review! We always appreciate such in-depth feedback!

While some requests are a bit more difficult during peak times our partners usually will accommodate any of our or our guests requests as best they can, including generous tastings or impromptu tours. We have worked hard to establish these positive and lasting relationships with our partners so that we can all always show our best side as we try develop the same positive and lasting relationships with our guests!

Chris is one of our top guides and like all of our professional and experienced guides he adds so much to the experience with his extensive wine knowledge and consistently professional approach! Thank you again for visiting Niagara's wine country with us!
