“Can't wait to go back!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

This was our first time at a B&B and didn't know what to expect.....we felt like we were visiting family. Maddie (our host) was very welcoming and we immediately felt at home and comfortable. The Gardens are lovely the home is absolutely gorgeous and so close to town and of course the Irish Harp (where we had our wedding reception the year prior). And after a long evening wandering through the town and you head to your beautifully decorated and charming room (we stayed in the cocoa bean room), the moment you lay on that bed you are instantly off to lala land on a soft cloud that contours your body perfectly. There is always goodies to nibble on and cold water, juice, pop, coffee and teas of all sorts available to you and I haven't even begun to talk about the breakfasts......mmmmmmmm yummmy!!!
Fresh fruit parfaits and stuffed french toast with berries and dessert....who would have thought dessert at breakfast!!!!!....Chocolate covered strawberries, and ice cream. I could go on and on but that would ruin your surprise...you should definitely stay at Copper Lane and it truly is a home away from home!

Thanks Maddie and Bill
We will definitely be seeing you again soon.

Can't think of enough to say about our stay at Copper Lane. Our host, Maddie is such a gracious lady. We were made to feel at home right from the get go. Our room, The Vanilla Bean was large, with a REALLY comfortable bed and a nice sitting area. Our ensuite bath was modern with every amenity. Maddie's 3 course breakfasts are to die for and she even shares recipes! Thank you Maddie, for making our 3 day stay enjoyable and fun. The location of this B&B is perfect. Short one block walk to town and even a closer walk to Harps Irish Pub! Loved our chats and even the history lessons! lol

It's a real pleasure and honour when someone considers ours their "home away from home". Coming from a large family myself, I love opening our home to others, love the chats when the guests want them and sharing the history of this lovely home and beautiful town with them as well. We so look forward to seeing you both again! Don't wait til the next time you have a wedding in town - come back on your own!

Being that this was my first time at a B&B I must say it was an excellent experience. Hosts were wonderful and helpful. Beautiful home and eye catching decor.

Perfectly situated right behind the Main street. So getting food, drinks & medicine is just a stone throw away.

Can't wait for our next trip to Copper Lane Bed & Breakfast.

Room Tip: If you're always in and out. I would recommend the Vanilla Room

We just returned from an evening at the Copper Lane Bed and Breakfast. We stayed an evening in the "cocoa bean" room. It is important to note that the 3pc bath is private, not ensuite. There is nothing the owner can do because the house is from the 19th Century. The beds were soft and comfortable, although I do enjoy an firm mattress. I did rate the B and B 5 of out of 5 for a reason though. A good B and B has a great host and this one is no exception. She is welcoming and warm. The house is spacious and has character. The room/house is large and EVERY detail has been attended to. I have never seen a B and B offer so much more then a room. We were given winery tasting coupons, maps, complimentary coffee, tea, glasses, water, soda and juice. The location is ideal, a two block jaunt to the main street. The food was served at 9am sharp for all guests and included a wonderful combination of fresh local food, fruit and produce.A hearty portion of stuffed french toast hit the spot. Juices were fresh and the room is scenic. I would recommend staying here and I would gladly return to try staying in the other two rooms.

Hi vacatiOnnatiOn!

Just looking through the reviews and realized that I never thanked you for your review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit here and appreciated the many extras we offer. I appreciate your offer of referral and hope to see you sometime this summer for a return visit.

The Cocoa Bean room is our only room with private bath, the other two have ensuites. Perhaps you'd like to try one of the others on your next visit, and I can promise you the same excellent level of hosting, same chef :) and same attention to detail!

Perfect! What a wonderful home and the hosts match! Beautifully decorated, very cozy. The house is in a great location, just a stone's throw from the main street, the Angel Inn and Harp Pub. My wife and I spent our first Valentine's as newlyweds and will likely make this an annual tradition. Thanks Maddie for your gracious hospitality.

We just got married and decided to take a mini-moon to Niagara-on-the-Lake (we were moving out of the country the next month, so not much time for a full-blown honeymoon!). This was our first bed and breakfast experience and we absolutely loved it! Maddy was very helpful in terms of suggestions for restaurants, wineries and activities, and she makes AMAZING breakfasts! Our room (Vanilla Bean) was on the first floor right by the door and we didn't feel bored at all (the other two rooms are upstairs). We definitely plan to stay there again.

Great to hear from you! So glad you enjoyed your "mini-moon" with us, nice to have even a short time away to unwind. Besides, moving to another country could be considered a honeymoon in itself! Hope all your plans worked out well and you are enjoying your new life and new careers together! Next time you're back in Ontario, come back for another get-away!

Thanks again for all your kind words!

We were with Pam and Stacey (review below, November 11-13) and could not agree more. This is an annual event for 6 of us (3 couples, long time friends) and Maddie could not have been a more accommodating hostess. Our room, Nutmeg, was huge and the bathroom was a real treat. Maddie provided coffee, tea, juice, pop and water along with snacks and candy in every room. There are even comfy robes and slippers in the wardrobes. Breakfast was great, sweet one day, savory the next. We liked the Strata so much that we got the recipe to serve to company.

Thanks Maddie.

You were a wonderful group! Hope the Strata worked out for your company last weekend, wondering if you went for the Ham, cheese & onion, or the vegetarian option....either way, hope you enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing you all next year, or any of you at anytime throughout the year. If you need any more recipies, you know where to find me at Copper Lane!
