“Amazing Hosts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2010

We just spent the weekend at the Historic Lyons House and couldn't have been happier with our choice. Jolanta and Howard were wonderful hosts, they have a beautiful home and made us feel welcome in it. Beautiful rooms and delicious breakfast. We will definitely visit them again.

It was as though we had personal concierges. Howard and Yolanda really aim to please. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The house is gorgeous. Yard is perfect for relaxing with friends and wine. Walking distance to the downtown "action" of Niagara on the Lake. They even made last minute reservations for us by using their "pull" at the restaurant. We stay at lots of inns in US and Canada. Lyons House is the best.

This is the first B&B I have stayed at it and it sets the bar higher than high. Howard was so welcoming from the beginning and this B&B immediately becomes your home away from home in NOTL. Lyons House far surpasses the comfort and atmosphere of any hotel. An excellent location - short walk to Queen St and centralized from all the wineries. Howard went out of his way when he discovered we didn't have a driver to winery hop to meet up with us and drive us! AMAZING! The rooms were gorgeous and the minifridge with bottled water was much needed and appreciated. And I haven't even mentioned the eggs benedict breakfast that was quite probably the most delicious breakfast I've ever had. I really can't say enough good things about this B&B.

We stayed at the Lyons house for 3 nights in early september.
We were celebrating my wife's 40th birthday at NOL. I found this establishment on this trip advisor site . The hosts were a great and were consider friends when we left. Howie is an excellent chef and presented his breakfasts like you were staying at the 4 seasons.
Every morning we had a new creation that was better than the last. Our room was immaculate and spacious. I had ordered the romance pkg and the hosts prepared and did everything I requested .
We will definately return and soon ..

The house and extensive grounds are lovely -- decor is vibrant, with lots of bold color accented by dynamic artwork -- not your grandmother's B&B! We spent a lovely afternoon on their stone patio in the vast stepped yard with friends and wine -- perfect. The location is excellent -- an easy 3-block walk into town. The beds/linens were comfortable and luxurious. Howard and Jolanta are quite personable but not intrusive ... in fact, we would have enjoyed spending more time with them. After I unknowingly lost a diamond stud earring, they tracked us down at church after we had checked out, and left a note on our windshield! Howard's breakfasts were grade A, and they were most helpful in getting our dinner reservations lined up. Lyons House was an excellent find!

Excellent choice of a beautiful place to stay while enjoying all that Niagara On The Lake has to offer. The grounds are kept impeccably groomed. The room was comfortable and very clean. Air conditioning worked well. It was quiet and we slept well. Howie and Yolanda worked endlessly to make sure their guests feel welcome and that all needs are addressed. I give it a total thumbs up and plan on returning at some point.
