We asked out innkeeper at the Ambiance B&B for a quiet place with good food that was within walking distance. This lovely place is just far enough away from the usual frenetic pace of the falls. It was quiet on a Monday night with a few locals celebrating a special birthday, and a a dozen others. The food and service were both excellent. Mixed grill combo (for 2) was well-priced and included a small delicious aged filet and a chicken, etc. The scallops appetizer was perfect. A good bottle of a Niagara region wine was $25. The owner, Danny, stopped by and visited for about 10 minutes providing lots of history and charm. There were no complaints (except for the small drink pours, but that is strictly regulated by the Provence). We expect to return during our next visit in the region.
