After a day of waterparks and waterfalls, we came here for supper. Of course, this IS niagara falls, where no opportunity to sell you something or upgrade something is lost, so, it was pricey. the food was mediocre chain restaurant fare, I had ribs, dry chicken breast and some overcooked shrimp on a stick with typical from-frozen fries. my partner had a club served on a bun, with fries, and the kids had pizzas and chicken fingers. my son (7) said it was the best chocolate milk he had EVER tasted, and with free refills mommy tasted some of it too. i have to agree with him. it WAS the best chocolate milk I have ever had. my older son (9) gobbled up his chicken fingers and fries, so I gladly pawned my dry chicken breast off on him, and a few of my mojo ribs. (those were hard to part with though) and we topped off out supper with the brownie thing with ice cream and a mountain of whipped cream, and a sparkler. Now that, whatever it was called, was AWESOME. and it should have been, at $15.99. BUT, as far as desserts go, it was way more than i was expecting, there was enough brownie to generously portion off to three hungry kiddos, a handsome step dad and a chocoholic mommy. If we all had individual desserts, we would not havebeen as well pleased. perfect way to finish supper. But i felt like i had to be rolled off my chair afterwards. holy cow i love chocolate! our server, (how i wish i could remember her name!), was cheerful, upbeat, timely and generally awesome, middle aged and matronly, and she made up for the cheeky teenaged twit at the front door. the thunderstom, the elephants, the twinklng stars, the giant trees, the decor, you know what, it was all awesome. supper for five, and a beer and a wine, tip and taxes was $150. food: so-so. experience, wonderful. worth it? yes, because it was a vacation experience. thanks rainforest cafe.
