“Wonderful hotel, great staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013 via mobile

This hotel is near it all! Received a free upgrade to a suite! Great value. Pkg included dinner at AG which was terrific! Stayed Marriott 6740 Victoria ave and it was sooo disappointing compared to this hotel. Free Parking was a treat too

Beautiful hotel with nice modern features. Our suite was huge and we really enjoued the large jacuzzi in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly. Would def stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel and spa during a short weekend trip to see the falls. Knowing there would be no view of the falls I picked this place for the room design/style/decor. Upon arrival the neighborhood did not seem all that great and the exterior of the building is plain. However, the entry to the hotel and the rooms were very well appointed. We liked the steam shower, bed (firm), and furniture etc. room was complete with a safe, microwave, and refrigerator as well. The second floor rooms had a balcony which was nice too. We utilized both the spa and restaurant. I would say the restaurant was nice but overrated and the spa was good.

The downsides were: the area looks like a lower class neighborhood, the wifi did not work our entire first day/night, the rose petal package was fake roses (so skip that option), and our bathroom door would not latch properly. Overall it was a decent experience but the price was about 30-40% too high and that would send me down the road to one of the "big box" hotels with the view on my next trip.

My husband and I stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. We booked the Essence of Niagara package and loved it. The building is a bit unassuming and a short walk from the main action. We walked to falls daily, plus restaurants and shops. We were nervous when we first arrived, but when we got in the building it was beautiful. The room was gorgeous, the bed comfortable, and they had wine and a card waiting for us. The parking and breakfast is included which is not the case for most hotels in Niagara. The free breakfast isn't large, but it was still plenty of food for us, fruit, yogurt, a quiche, all very good. They picked us up at the door for the wine tour which included a really nice lunch and tours of 5 wineries. The food and wine pairing was delicious, but if you don't like to try new things beware. They pick the food for you.

I would absolutely go there again. The rooms all seemed to be different and I'd like to see what others are like. This is a couples hotel, I would not recommend bringing children.

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary trip. I had never been to Niagara Falls and was seriously considering one of the name-brand hotels when I stumbled across this gem. The only reason we were hesitant was because of the lack of falls view, but honestly, it's such a close walk to everything that it doesn't even matter.

The hotel used to be a creamery so the outside is a bit industrial. I'll admit that when we pulled up I was a little skeptical but once we got inside, we knew we had made the right decision. The room was gorgeous and spacious and the staff was very helpful. We even decided to extend our trip another night because we loved it so much.

We just got back yesterday after a wonderful three night stay at the Sterling and like so many others have mentioned, this place is outstanding for it's staff, room size and their nice complimentary breakfast. That was delivered right on time every day. We didn't need to drive at all once we got there. Your walking distance to the falls and many other attractions, and the public transportation called the WeGo is the best. We are looking forward to staying at the Sterling the next time we go to Niagara Falls. It was quiet and the beds are extremely comfortable after a long day of walking and sightseeing. There are many different places to eat which are also very close by. It is definitely worth staying here.

Room Tip: Ask for the room which as the steam shower if you prefer that over the jacuzzi bath tub

Hidden gem of a hotel. HUGE guestrooms, free parking, cute decor and complementary breakfast in bed. The place is just off the strip which is absolutely perfect. You are in walking distance of everything but not in the thick of it.We would definitely stay again!
