“Most tranquil bed and breakfast at Niagara Falls”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2007

If you want to stay a small distance away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Niagara; if you want ambience; beautiful rooms, beautiful food and to meet the nicest people, you need to stay at this bed and breakfast. We have not stayed in a B&B before, but I assure you this is the most luxurious way to spend your romantic stay in Niagara Falls. The bedrooms are beautifully renovated to the highest degree, the jaccuzzi a treat to look forward to after a day of sight seeing, the beds are huge, and extremely comfortable. May I suggest you have your breakfast at least once on the balcony of the home. Carolyn and Gary have lived in this home for many years and are very knowledgible about the Niagara vineyards and other tourist areas. These two people are to be congratulated in the provision of such a lovely home opened to people as a bed and breakfast.

  • Liked — The ambience of the room!!!!!
  • Disliked — Can't comment as there is nothing I didn't like.

Park Place is great!! Carolyn and Gary really care that your stay is comfortable and complete. All that is needed is to ask and they will do whatever they can to fill your request. The house is beautiful, kept clean, and very comfortable. No better place to stay in Niagara Falls.

We loved our stay at the Park Place Bed & Breakfast! From the roomy comfortable king suite - modern yet historically elegant - to the colorful breakfasts on the open porch overlooking the river, everything was so much more than we expected!

Our hosts, Carolyn and Gary, knew every way to enjoy the Niagara Falls area, and shared with us from their expertise. Each activity we chose was a hit!

We stayed in the Carriage House Suite, separated from the main house by a private patio, the perfect setting for our pre-dinner glass of wine. The suite had a full kitchen, a jacuzzi bath, and a large bedroom / living area. We didn't need the air conditioning as in the evenings, cool breezes blew through the windows. I envy those who stay at Park Place in winter.... the wood stove looks quite cozy....

This is a trip I will long remember, not only because of the lovely suite in the charming home, but also because of the genuine hospitality afforded guests. I highly recommend the Park Place B&B!

You will feel like a personal houseguest in Gary & Carolyn's lovely home. They supply the perfect combination of hospitality and privacy. This is an outstanding spot for a wedding trip, like ours, and they add special touches for those events. Breakfast is outstanding. We stayed in the Queen Anne suite, but the other suite is also charming.

The veranda was our favorite breakfast spot and we also enjoyed a late evening visit there with our hosts and neighbors across the hall. It was so nice to get tips from people who live right there regarding things to see and do, places to eat, street directions, etc.

We will definitely return for a visit to the area and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

  • Liked — The hospitality
  • Disliked — There is some street noise

We stayed here in 2003. The carriage house is incredible. It's like your own little home away from home. Beautifully decorated, clean, quiet. Everything you could want. The couple who run it are interesting and fun to talk to. The food was outstanding, they bring it over to you the next morning so you don't have to go out and eat with the other guests in the main house if you don't want to.

  • Liked — The privacy, having our own apartment, not part of the main house
  • Disliked — Nothing

My husband and I stayed at the Park Place B&B in June of 2006 for our 1st wedding anniversary. We had a lovely 2 night stay in the Prince of Wales suite. The room has been remodeled from the website photos and is very lovely. We especially enjoyed the spa tub and private balcony. We did not use the in-room fireplace (it was very humid and warm outside!) but it was a nice touch.

We enjoyed a made-to-order (from a limited menu the night before) breakfast in bed each morning. A little bell outside the door would ring, and you would go out to find a tray of yummy treats and beverages seemly placed there by a ghost. Very private! Must recommend the crossiants with the local jam -- awesome! The french toast was also very tasty.

The hosts, Gary and Carolyn are warm and welcoming. There is a huge front porch which you can enjoy, within walking distance to niagara falls attractions (though I don't recommend doing the walk in heels!). There are only two suites and a carriage house style guest house in a seperate building so you feel like you have a lot of privacy, which is nice for a B&B getaway weekend.

We visitied Niagara-on-the-Lake, which was charming ... and Gary and Carolyn were so nice to give us free wine tasting coupons for some of the most recognized vineyards in NOTL. Visited 'graves" which was where I found the local jam that I enjoyed that morning in our suite. Highly recommened!

One very nice thing about this B&B for me (a smoker) is the fact that you are allowed to smoke on your private balcony ... which is hard to come by at a B&B.

Overall a delightful stay, for much less then one of the mega-hotels right on the falls. We will definetly refer our friends and stay again if we are in the area!

My wife and I took a 3 day weekend for a aniversary getaway to the falls area, and stumbled upon this beautiful B and B after debating to stay at one of the luxury fallsview hotels first.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Gary and Carolyn Burke, the owners and main reason why this B and B is so outstanding. They make you feel like one of the family, serve you an awesome full breakfast on fine china and silver (in your room if you like), have personally designed and performed the modernization of the beautiful Queen Ann style homes 2 main suites, and generally run the whole operation.
The grounds are beautifully kept, with loads of flowers, some statues, wrought iron fencing, fountains, and the location is perfect. About a mile down river from the Falls, on the gorge, and a short walk from the White Water walk. There is a people mover stop about a block from the house, that will take you to the falls without driving.
The main suite we stayed in was th Queen Anne. It has a canopy King bed, A/C, theraputic whirlpool tub, stand up shower, separate toilet room, small fireplace, refrige, TV with DVD. The room is classic but very modern, with some of the houses over 100 year old original fixtures, and classic furniture mixed with the modern conveniences.
Breakfast was great, fill in your order the night before, and it is served in a candlelit dining room, or in your suite if you prefer. (Check out the home-made stuffed french toast!) They will also help you with some special touches if you are celebrating any special occasions, which I was.
Overall, perfect location, and a relaxing change of pace from the hotel/ motel usuals. Really felt relaxed and pampered, all for a price that rivals or beats most hotels in the area. You will not be sorry!
Any questions feel free to email me. Enjoy if you can.
