We stayed here from March 23-25th, and absolutely loved it. We did however have to change our room, because we didnt like the view... We originally booked the "fallsview" with the view of just the horseshoe falls, however, we were facing a building and to the left were the falls.. For the $30 more per night, it was definetely worth it!! We had a view of EVERYTHING!!! Friday's weather was great, Sat was a different story, it was rainy and foggy! Couldnt see a whole lot, not event he falls from the hotel, could barely see the falls down at the falls, but that has nothing to do with the hotel! The brekfast was great, the omelletes, to die for... I saw nothing wrong with any of the food, it was rotated in and out quite often..We went to breakfast between 730 and 830 both days and wasnt busy at all. The Keg's foor was good, indeed a little pricey, but EVERYTHING that is edible in Niagara is PRICEY!! Applebees is twice the amount of an American restaurant.. We did do the parking at the casino, we unloaded the car in front of the hotel, one of us did have to stay with the car, or else they had to have the keys "IN CASE OG AN EMERGENCY" , so I checked in and ran the luggage upstairs and came back down and we parked the car.. not even a 5 min walk! Of course we went in and got the Playes Club card for free!!! Well worth the $40. 00saved for parking!!.. Aslo, when you pull up into the fron tof the hotel, the valet "fails to tell you that there is a charge for the parking" "THEY say that this is a "full service hotel", but never said it was $20 a day..Luckily from reading this, I knew better. You also have to tell the desk that when you check in, or they will charge you. Elevators were nevere a long wait. Managers reception, wasnt too crowded, sisnt see a lot of kids.. The drinks were awesome, but $$! Overall, I would go back, maybe if it was a little cheaper!! But i definetely recommend this hotel!!

  • Liked — breakfast, and the view from the room!!!!
  • Disliked — too expensive!!

I booked a great package through Travel Zoo for my Husband's 30th Birthday. We stayed the night of March 18th.

We received a "fallsview" Jacuzzi suite, "Managers Reception" with 2 complimentary drinks, $40 dinner voucher for The Keg or TGI Friday's, free full breakfast buffet and Shuttle pass,

Check in was prompt and courteous. It was very quiet (due to it being a Sunday in March I expect) so we never had a wait for much of anything. We were offered the upgrade to a room with a view of both the fall’s for another $30 a night, but declined. After checking out the room, we called down and took them up on the upgrade, well worth the difference in price. In our original room, you had a view of the building next door, with a bit of the top of the Horseshoe Falls behind the roof below you, if you stood in the corner of the window. Our second room had a wonderfully complete clear view of both the falls, which we could even see from the bathroom.

The room was very clean, and well appointed, just as described online. The "Manager's Reception" was a nice touch and we enjoyed our 2 free drinks, and complimentary snacks (veggies and dip, chips, pretzels, and nachos with salsa). Basic, but we appreciated it.

We enjoyed dinner at The Keg (with our Voucher) with a great view of the falls, and excellent food and service. Something to consider if you are on a budget, I was happy to pay the price we did with our voucher, however it would have been pricy for us without it.

We walked when we went out, so didn't make use of the shuttle. Valet parking was a little on the slow side, although they warn you to call down 10 minutes before you want your car. (I must say I resent being forced into using and paying Valet parking, you have no option of parking it yourself, unless you find another lot elsewhere) Getting our car upon check out took quite a while as they couldn't find where they had parked our car!

Breakfast buffet was edible but disappointing. There were no line-ups as it was a quiet Monday morning, however the food was mostly cold, and definitely did not taste fresh. We didn't use the omelet bar perhaps that would have been better as it is cooked fresh to order. They offered bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, greasy French toast sticks, toast, a couple of fruits, cereal, and baked goods (my Danish was rock hard)

Apart from the slow-ish Valet and not great breakfast, we would definitely stay here again, the room was fantastic, and location and view perfect, facilities were fresh and clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and price was great for everything we received. Just work on the breakfast and it would be an A+ all around!

We booked a two night package that included the voucher towards The Keg or Friday's as well as the manger's reception. All in all I feel we paid a fair price. Our room was on the 38th floor with a good view of the Falls.
When we checked in they offered a $20/night upgrade to full fallsview with Jacuzzi which we declined, I was glad we did as the room we were in had a nice enough view. Besides that, I'm not into Jacuzzi tubs in hotels mainly due to cleanliness concerns, so I knew we or I wouldn't use it if it were there.
We ate at the Keg both nights we were there and although I'd heard horror stories about the prices, I didn't feel they were outrageous for a tourist town. The breakfast buffet was fairly typical of the standard buffet fare, but hey - it was there and free.
The manager's reception was nothing special, watered down draft, wine and one ounce drinks but once again - it was there and free.
The weather was cold and windy when we were there so in order to get to the Clifton Hill area we cut through the casino (there's door down the hill from the hotel where the busses disembark) which made the walk to and from Clifton Hill as well as the main Falls viewing area alot warmer!!
The room was very clean, had nice amenties and very comfortable. I wanted to take the pillow with me when we left :). The staff were not overly friendly but not rude either. We did have to ask them to take off the parking charge from our room bill as it is added automatically.
I would stay again, but probably only if I were to take advantage of one of the pakage deals that seem fairly regularly offered. There was one on Travelzoo that would have saved us about 5 dollars over what we paid but I thought I'd chance it and what kind of view I would get by booking direct with the hotel. I don't know if it made a difference or not.
I've paid the same amount of money on lesser accomodations in not as nice locales so I am rating this hotel above average.

We stayed at Embassy last October. My husband, 10 yr old, and myself enjoyed the amazing view from our room. Our room was large and you can open the window for the sound of the falls. The rooms were sparkling clean. The breakfast buffett was pretty good-go early or you will be in long lines. We had a voucher for the steakhouse-the food was pretty good and we had a great view overlooking the falls. However, there was an obnoxious group of businessmen next to us-very loud and foul language-and when we mentioned it to our server, she was reluctant to move us or ask them to lower their voices. Management was no help either-so dinner was pretty much a bust. Shuttle service was prompt-no need to drive around the town. Don't miss the Maid of the Mist-best part of the trip! Also, dinner at the Skylon Tower was amazing but expect to pay about $200 for 3 (including a child!)

My husband and I were really excited about going away since we have 3 kids and sometimes parents just need a breather.
So off we went in the dead of February!

When we got there the parking to go in was a bit confusing ;but we got ourselves in at 2 and checkin wasnt till 4, but the lady let us in.
She upgraded us to a room with a better view but with two queen beds. We had ordered a King but hey if the view is better WHYNOT!
So,
I told her nonsmoking but our room had the smell of smoke in it anyhow but who'se going to change rooms now!
The view was very nice, I couldnt seem to get my husband away from the window!
But i admit the view was lovely ; we could see both the americian and Canadian and we were closer to the Canadian side .

WHatever you do dont eat the stuff in the basket when you first walk in to your sitting room.
thank GOD the kids didnt come or that sucker would have been gone and I would have owed alot of money.
Everything is accounted for so if anything goes missing from that basket you pay!

The hot tub was nice i liked that alot!
i was in that thing like an olympic swimmer in a pool!
it was one of the nicest things in that room!

Out the left side of our bedroom window was the Casino.
We took the shuttle to the Casino and we even won a little sumthin sumthin;-).
the ride is just like 2 minutes-we walked back ! and that took longer! especially whenyou have ice pellets smackin u in the face but there is a bridge going over to the hotel we can walk on and so you just have to make it up the walk and over the bridge!

The food:
Breakfast was a line up and the food on the buffet was COLD -and just gross.I didnt even eat much the first morning!
There is a line up for food that they cook for you(only eggs i guess) but i wasnt standing in line after i took my plate of food! what am i suppose to do with it!?.
Supper i had made reservations at the Keg on the 9th floor.
It was good and i enjoyed it alot.
There was a "managers reception" from 7-9 that night and we got a free drink and some pretzel stuff and pickles ,carrots as a snack.

The next morning I stood in line for breakfast and they made my eggs which now were hot but they forgot my pancake !so i went thru the buffet line and took one but it was hard as can be!
thick and hard; sounds good for other things but not a pancake! let me tell you! i almost had to barf.
i was tempted to use it as a frisbee but that wouldnt have been appropriate now would it;-)?

After 2 nights it was time to go home.
Getting your car will be a nightmare.
we waited along with about 30 other ppl in the lobby for our car!
YEP we all had the same scoul on our faces and noone was smiling!
except a few teenage girls at the bellhop! He wasnt that good looking! he kinda looked like mr.clean.

When we finaly got to our car! we couldnt get out for a bit because of all the other cars and the such small parking area!.That has got to change
ALL in ALL
i wont go back but the view was nice.
This is just my opinon.
