“Nice place, reasonable rate.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2014

Short stay. Very large, very clean room close to the attractions in Niagara Falls. Limited TV channels was puzzling. Seems this hotel did not have cable but was relying on an OTA setup. Might be a good idea to spring for cable. There appeared to be WIFI but this was not explained by the staff but since it was a short stay it was not important.

The Hotel was recommended to us by a local store owner. We could not be any happier with the service and all the hotel had to offer. The staff was very helpful and extremely pleasant. Most of all, very clean. Excellent choice.

Stayed here a couple of times...nothing fancy but for the price it is well worth the trip. It has a restaurant but it has not been open on any of our visits..maybe we go on off times. The rooms are clean comfortable but basic..nothing fancy, TV channels seem limited but we are not there to watch TV anyway. Very easy to find and access to the Falls proper is quite easy.

We booked this hotel because the price it was. The hotel was clean and quiet. It is located about 8 to 10 minutes from the falls. The room was average, however the hallway on floor 3 was hotter than heck no air. The ice machine and drink machines were on the 4th floor and at separate ends of the hall. If going to the falls area it would be worth spending a little more and staying in town because parking is expensive to pay everyday.

We booked this hotel for a weekend trip to Niagara Falls. As expected the room rate was exorbitant due to the summer season and long weekend for Canada Day/July 4th.
The hotel was not worth the premium price being charged. Property is clean but needs updating.
Our fifth floor room was spacious but the old A/C unit was difficult to control.
The indoor pool and hot tub were clean and our kids enjoyed this area.
Location is right off the QEW and its about 10 mins drive to the Falls.

Overall this was hotel was decent but I would pay less than half they charged for a room.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back have a view of the garden and chapel area.

I chose this hotel because I just needed a place to sleep, shower, change and check email, in between socializing with friends and colleagues at a week long event at Brock University. The location worked well as it's directly off the highway, and has several restaurant options nearby, along with a movie theatre and other shopping.

The beds were surprisingly comfortable, if basic. The room came with a quiet fridge. The AC at the base of the window worked well and was constant, without any of that whining turning off then on you can get in that style. The bathroom was well laid out and given we were two female colleagues, we appreciated the large marble surface around the sink. Staff were friendly, and the pool and hot tub were good. Despite being near the highway, the location was quiet and relaxed. Wifi was free, but signal strength was poor.

It was apparent, however, that this used to be a fancier resort and conference type hotel for weddings and business events, but has since fallen on hard times. The advertised restaurant was never open during my 3 weekday stay, so I had to go elsewhere for breakfast. The hotel felt...well, deserted actually.

The rooms looked dated and worn, though they were large and seemed fairly clean. one of the lamps in our room had a broken switch, so we couldn't use it Also, for some strange reason, the rooms only have horizontal blinds, which caused the blindingly bright sunshine on the east side of the hotel to come streaming into the room first thing in the morning. Some drapes would have been appreciated. Additionally, there are very few outlets in the room, and in this digital era, that caused a bit of inconvenience. However, given we got a bargain on the nightly rate, and given we were really only there from 9pm onwards, we were satisfied with our stay and would return.

Room Tip: Given the lack of drapes on the windows, ask to be on the west side of the building, so as to avoid...
