“Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2007

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights (checked in July 9th at 2pm and checked out at 11am July 12th. We called the hotel directly and it was $119/night for a queen sized bed & square jacuzzi (in the room). The jacuzzi was so big and very comfortable. The bed was a little soft and the pillows are thin. But, we brought our own pillows so that didn't matter.

It was really hot when we were there and the air conditioner worked great. The hallways of the hotel are not air conditioned but that didn't matter to us because we didn't hang out in the hallways.

There is an indoor and outdoor pool. We used the outdoor one because the weather was great. The water was a little cold but because of the heat we didn't mind. Oh and it is in the middle of the parking lot so there is not much of a view. The good thing is that your not visible to people driving by on the main road (only the people parking). We didn't try the indoor pool but we went to look at it. There was also a hot tub but we didn't try it out because we had one in our room.

The hotel has movies and video games that you can rent. We decided to rent a movie one night and I think it cost us about $12 or $13.

There is a restaurant that is open for breakfast only. The breakfast was good. The staff were friendly. There are a lot of restaurants near by. There is a coffee shop just a few steps away.

The rooms were clean and they cleaned it every day. The bathroom had a stand up shower and no tub probably because we had a giant tub right next to our bed.

There is a public transit pass that you can buy $6 for an adult all day pass. We drove down to Cliffton Hill and parked at the casino for $10 and just walked around.

All in all I would say it was great for what we were looking for - a romantic get-away. If you are looking for a middle-of-the-road kind of hotel then this place is great.

  • Liked — The price and the jacuzzi
  • Disliked — The bed was a little soft and the movies were expensive.

We just stayed there June1st-3rd. It was our romantic weekend getaway. We booked the heart shaped jucuzzi suite. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. We didn't use the pool but it looked really clean, and the breakfast (although not included) cost us less then $15 for 2 of us and was really great. If you're looking for a place at the falls that isn't right in the heart of cliffton hills, this is it!!!!!!!!!!!

This motel is located approximately 5 minutes driving from Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls. Its walkable to the falls area but will probably take you a while. The desk staff is super nice and extremely helpful. The hotel is clean and the room was extremely large and clean. We stayed over New years and the motel was extremely quiet. Overall I suggest you stay here. I have no complaints.

We recently returned from a 3 night stay at Travelodge Bonaventure. Four adults and two children in a room with three queen size beds, refrigerator, cable tv, air condition (worked great) clean floor, beds, bathroom and shower/tub. We also had another group with us that stayed in a three queen bed room. There was plenty of room, the staff was friendly, the restaraunt on the property was a great place for breakfast. We had a 9 month old, 3 year old, 10 year old, and 16 year old that loved the pools. The indoor pool was exceptional with plenty of room for numerous people, a hot tub and sauna room, with changing rooms nearby. The outdoor pool was right outside most of the rooms. Landscaping and buildings were neatly taken care of. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again and would recomend it. It was a direct shot to everything as it allowed us to swing around the back way towards MarineLand to park near CirqueDeNiagara for cheaper parking at Rapids Point parking which included free people mover shuttle to falls attractions. The only problem I had was the wireless internet was not accessible from rooms in the back building. I had to use my computer in the lobby or indoor swimming pool area. It really wasn't that bad though because I could do my computer work when others were in the pool area.

  • Liked — Comfortable queen size beds
  • Disliked — Wi-fi internet access not strong enough for all buildings
  • Tips/Secrets — ask for first or second floor if possible

We just returned from a two night stay at the this hotel. I had booked after reading recommendations here on Tripadvisor. While the hotel is clean and the staff friendly and accommodating there are a few problems which made our stay uncomfortable.

For starters, the elevator smelled so bad that I had to hold my breath while using it. I think it was some cleaning solvent or disinfectant. Lordy did it ever smell bad .. ! Other guests made comments about the smell too. I eventually thought to spray perfume in it before I could use it.

Second, the hallways are not air conditioned and they were like a sauna. Speaking of air conditioning ... the air conditioning in the room was so forceful that I ended up with an ear ache from the cold air blowing on my ear all night, and our bed was on the other side of the room. It was 30 degrees Celsius outside and we needed the air conditioner on.

Thirdly, the bromine in the hot tub was so strong that it reduced the print on my husband's bathing suit, tarnished my silver ring and was so strong that even after two showers we could still smell it on us. As well, the pool water was too cold; we could not use it. Had the water been warmer we still could not have used the pool as there were six kids using it one night and they were screaming, diving and doing cannonballs into the pool. We are in our 60's and would have been fearful of being hurt. The sauna though was very nice.

Would we stay there again ... No, I doubt that very much. It was reasonably priced and clean and the staff was friendly but that's all it had going for it.

We stayed at the Travelodge Bonaventure over the July 4th holiday. The hotel is impeccably clean and the indoor pool just sparkled. The kids loved having the choice of the indoor pool or the outdoor pool (just outside our door). When we asked the staff if they had a refrigerator to rent for the baby's milk, they very courteously offered one free of charge!!!!!!! The staff was great. The room was wonderful (we got one with 3 queen beds and it was REALLY spacious)!! We would definitely come back to this hotel.
