“Travelodge disappointment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

We have been visiting Niagara Falls, Ontario for the last 20 years. We always stayed at the Travelodge Bonaventure, because it was a great value for the money. We were never looking for something posh, just a comfy, clean spot to stay. The company hasn't updated this spot since we first stared to visit there. We will no longer be a client there. The rooms are outdated, smelly and just all around run-down. I wonder if anyone from the chain checks the hotels at all? Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks and go to the Courtyard Marriott. It's closer to the Falls and offers a wide range of package deals. It's really a nice place to stay when you're there.

The price was right, but not impressed with our room what so ever. The outside of the motel looks nice, the staff were friendly. Once in our room, the bed was broken, there was a hole in the wall and there was empty alcohol bottles left on the floor.

I drove 4 and a half hours to visit the falls and since It was a busy holiday weekend Travelodge was the closest hotel with availability. Once we arrived to the front desk to check in, we were notified that our room was sold even though we had reservations and the confirmation number. They gave our room away!! The lady at the front desk informed us that they didn't have any other rooms like it wasn't a big deal. At this point we were calling other hotels hoping to have a bed to sleep on after a long drive. During this time, a guest of the hotel overheard and said, "what do you mean you dont have a room I just cancelled one of my rooms!" And what do you know they magically found us a room after calling other hotels and arguing with the lady. The sheets were dirty, there was hair in the tub, the carpet was stained and we didn't even have a mini fridge! Worst service and the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed at!!

We were a group of 4 people and found this Motel as we had previously stayed in Travelodge hotels and were satisfied. This Motel was no exception and we were given a nice room. Nothing special, but we were only looking for a place to sleep and didn't have special wishes anyway.

The Travelodge Bonaventure was a good choice as a basic motel. Of course it's not the four seasons, but you get what you can expect for the price.

The reason why I give only 4 stars is the location, which is a bit remote from the falls and the town center, but then again this is not an issue if you have a car. There are restaurants and a shopping center nearby.

Stayed here for a nice vacation with my girlfriend. Stayed in the Jacuzzi tub room and it was very clean and comfortable. We had a great stay at the travelodge and I think this hotel is the best value for the price. A little ways from the falls but that was not a problem for us. We will definately stay again.

This has got to be the worst hotel experience ever......after driving for 2 hrs and arriving at 1200 we were subjectedto a party of loud, drunk, swearing and abusive partygoers who chose to have a party right outside the motel rooms, in the parking lot; the volume had to be comparable to a nightclub at full blast; it was impossible to sleep and after enduring 4 hrs of this we finally had 1 hr of sleep before leaving to continue our trip...upon checking out the clerk at the desk respondedthat they had called the police at 4 am....why would they have not called earlier....it was a disgusting experience; the next morning it looked like a circus had takenplace; with bottles; tables and garbage spread all over...this is a fly by night hotel...the linens are dirty and room is dingy..

Room Tip: do yourself a favour..and stay elsewhere...run down and delapitated rooms.
