“NEVER STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SLEEP WITH BED BUGS/ ANTS”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2009

Me and a friend decided to take a trip up 2 the falls for friday and saturday. We booked 2 nights at the days inn on lundy's lane. Days inn are usually good and online the pictures looked very nice. The lobby was nice and the room looked ok. @night my friend woke up to have ants crawling all over them. When i woke up my friend had actually captured some in a cup. we took it downstairs and they said they had never had this problem before. we ended up getting our money back and decided to go elsewhere. we went back to the room to pack our stuff and lifted up the cover to discover ATLEAST 10 ANTS OR BED BUGS WHT EVER THEY WERE in our bed. i came back to toronto and told a friend about this she then told me she had the EXACT same experience in febuary at this hotel and when she got home the bed bugs got into her bed. she had to empty her whole room throw everything away and re do EVERYTHING. YOU ARE NUTS IF U WANT 2 STILL STAY HERE.

The room was clean and what I expected. The hot tub was not very hot, but the pool was nice. There is only one elevator, so waiting for it can get annoying, especially around check-out time. The area of the hotel is ok, but Lundy's Lane is very busy and trashy in some places. Nevertheless, I did feel safe. The value was good and I would stay there again. BTW, there is a fee for parking which is completely dumb. The parking lot was not full and nothing special.

The Hotel itself is nice, clean nice rooms and friendly staff. The Problem is theyr package deal. We booked in for 4 nights with meals included, so we got told. When we got there we got vouchers for dinner and Breakfast. The problem is that there is ONE Meal to choose from in one Restaurant. If you don't want to eat the same every night , you get a voucher for $ 30.00 for 2 People!!! as if that would cover 2 meals. Also we almost had to fight with the waiters to get the promised free Kids meals because of the $30 voucher. It seemed like nobody knew anything about any of this. At checkout we asked about the price of the rooms without the package and got told that they only charge $ 20 above the room price for the package. Unfortunately we found out afterwards that we paid between $60 -$ 90 more per night for a $30 Dollar Voucher!! We feel completely ript off and cheated.
So although the Hotel was good, stay away from any package deals with this Hotel.

From check in to check out, I have only good things to say about this hotel. The front desk service was friendly and efficient, the hotel spotless, and the room modern, comfortable, and bright. As we were staying 2 nights, we decided to spring for some added comfort and get a room with jetted tub - a great decision, as there was a snow storm all one day and the tub was big enough for 2!
If you're looking to be within walking distance of the Falls, this will not be the hotel for you. But if you are looking for a place that is further away from the action, close to shopping and reasonably-priced restaurants, and has cheaper parking ($4/day), then I highly recommend this hotel.

The only concern I had was that there was a parking fee at all, considering the distance to the Falls.

We paid $45 on one Sunday night through Expedia. We got a king room and everything still smells new, brand new carpet, furniture, bed & beddings, LCD tv, even the bathroom has been redone. The recpetionist told me the hotel was just refurbished July 2008. Well worth the $45. Convenient Diner next door for their $3.99 breakfast special. Free parking. Pool is heated. Outlet mall is adjacent. The hotel is not too far from the Falls, though not walkable, it is a straight 5-minute drive on Lundys Lane. Will I go back to this hotel? Absolutely. Othe hotels in the Falls are charging more and they are dated and with ridiculous parking fees. If you have a car, this is a good alternative. Just don't expect a pillowtop mattress coz this hotel does not pretend to be a four or five star property.

Excellent Stay! We had a tower room with 2 Queen Beds. The hotel has been recently renovated, and still has that new carpet smell. Clean rooms with modern furniture, updated bathroom, and wall mounted flat screen TV. Indoor swimming pool looked nice, but we did not have time to use it. Convenient Diner located right next door with a $3.99 breakfast special. Amazing value, surprisingly inexpensive. The only downsides were a $4.00 charge for parking, and a DMF "hidden cost" which appeared on the bill. I would recommend this Days Inn to anyone looking for clean, new, modern rooms at an economical price.
