“Nice Place, Great Breakfast, Comfy Bed,Friendly Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

Checked in Tues Oct 16th, Found check-in speedy & staff very friendly.

Booked jacuzzi room on 5th floor (504). Room was very clean and spacious. Enjoyed the heart shaped tub. Beds were super comfy with nice pillows and great duvet. Really liked the 32" LCD t.v that was in our room (bonus)...had a dip in the pool & hot tub before dinner (nice).

Free newspaper outside our door in the morning was nice, Breakfast was Great!!
lot's to eat & plenty of it.

booked online and used a $10 off coupon from the Toronto Sun.

Had a great stay & will recommend this hotel to our friends..

p.s....It's a little far off from the fall ( 5 minute car ride)

Free parking & High-speed internet were a bonus.

Bang for the buck a GREAT DEAL!!

Two thumbs up..

Also had pizza at the q-street pizzeria on Queen street.....AWESOME....check them out too

I stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago. This hotel has a lot of positives, including free breakfast, free WIFI, great beds, nicely appointed rooms and good sized bathrooms.

On the negative side, the front desk staff needs more training. We requested to pay for our room up front in cash. The girl (who was rather young), said no, she didn't think were were allowed to pay cash up front. When we expressed our confusion (what hotel says you can't pay??), she then asked a more senior coworker who said "of course they can pay cash now". Bad training.

Also, these rooms are paper thin. The gentleman in the next room was talking in a regular speaking voice, and I could hear almost everything he was saying. I could also hear his wife and kids. I even went into the hallway to see whether they had their door open. Nope...door closed. Just be warned not to talk about (or do) anything you don't want your neighbour to hear. And if you want a good night's sleep, I would suggest asking for a room away from other visitors.

The only two good things this hotel has going for it are it's reasonable and has free parking. The walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbor's toilet flushing and water running, the front desk service for the most part is quite unfriendly. I had a reservation for a non-smoking room and when I arrived they tried to put me in a smoking room. The front desk clerk did work with me to change it. The breakfast is mediocre at best. For a Hampton Inn this establishment is sub-standard.

Room Tip: If you're a non-smoker, make sure you confirm you're getting a non-smoking room before arriv...

The hotel is in a great location and overall it is well maintained. Additionally, the breakfast was good. However, the customer service is lacking at this hotel - which was surprising for a Hampton Inn. We booked two hotel rooms for Friday and Saturday night. We left the hotel at about nine in the morning on Saturday and returned to the rooms at about 4:30. When we got back to our rooms only one of the two rooms were cleaned. The room that wasn't cleaned needed new towels and the beds made. The cleaning crew was at the end of the hallway so we called the front desk. The front desk said the would send the cleaning crew over to clean our room. We said that would be great and explained that we were going to be leaving for dinner. The front desk said that would be fine and the room would be cleaned by the time we got back. We returned to rooms at about 10:30 pm and the room was not cleaned. We called again but the front desk advised that the cleaning crew was gone so there wasn't anything they can do. However, they didn't apologize for the inconvenience or asked if we needed anything. We asked that they bring up new towels. This experience is why I would not stay at this hotel again. Because in an area that has so many hotels, it is the little things that takes a hotel from average to excellent.

This hotel is well maintained, clean and quiet. It has free parking and is close to WEGO buses. The buffet is above average for this type of chain (Waffle, Oat meal, Omelet etc etc). A very good hotel for the price (we were lucky to get it at 129 CAD). It is a bit far from the downtown but if the night is warm, you could walk the 30 min on the path of the river.

We made the mistake of spending two nights at the overpriced Embassy Suites Niagara Falls-Fallsview and then moved to this Hampton Inn for the third night since we had an early morning flight. We didn't see the need to pay way too much for the Embassy Suites when we had to leave for the airport by 5:00 AM. In retrospect, I wish we had spent all three nights at this Hampton Inn, saved hundreds of dollars, had a much better breakfast, free parking, free Wifi all with a staff that has a pleasant, helpful attitude and no tip jars on the front desk.
The WeGo bus stops right in front of the hotel and takes you directly to the Falls or Uptown so there are no parking hassles or long walks up and down hills. If you buy an Adventure Pass for $44.95 per person you get two days of unlimited use on the WeGo bus system as well as tickets for the Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls, Fury of the Falls and the White Water Walk. And guess what? The White Water Walk is right across the street from this Hampton Inn.
While the view from hotels overlooking the Falls may be nice, you're paying a great deal of money just for the view. The reality is getting down to the Falls from these hotels is pretty difficult. You have to pay to take the tram down the steep embankment, walk a long, long way around the barn to get there or take the WeGo Bus. Why not stay at the Hampton Inn and just jump on the WeGo bus as it follows the road along the Niagara River to the Falls? You'll get there just as quickly.
There's also a very interesting Buddhist Temple next door that's open to the public.

Room Tip: Buy the Adventure Pass for $44.95. Pack a snack or even a picnic and take your time enjoying the Wh...

This hotel does the trick if you are not looking to be directly at the falls. I stayed the night on my way to a wedding the following day. The hotel was clean and breakfast was the usual hampton meal. I always enjoy hamptons because of the breakfast. I used the gym in the am before leaving and it was ok. Only cardio, but at least the treadmill was nice. I also used the pool and it was very clean and a perfect temperature.

Room Tip: Make sure you select a non smoking room. The gym is on the second floor with the smoking rooms and a...
