I stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago. This hotel has a lot of positives, including free breakfast, free WIFI, great beds, nicely appointed rooms and good sized bathrooms.

On the negative side, the front desk staff needs more training. We requested to pay for our room up front in cash. The girl (who was rather young), said no, she didn't think were were allowed to pay cash up front. When we expressed our confusion (what hotel says you can't pay??), she then asked a more senior coworker who said "of course they can pay cash now". Bad training.

Also, these rooms are paper thin. The gentleman in the next room was talking in a regular speaking voice, and I could hear almost everything he was saying. I could also hear his wife and kids. I even went into the hallway to see whether they had their door open. Nope...door closed. Just be warned not to talk about (or do) anything you don't want your neighbour to hear. And if you want a good night's sleep, I would suggest asking for a room away from other visitors.

The only two good things this hotel has going for it are it's reasonable and has free parking. The walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbor's toilet flushing and water running, the front desk service for the most part is quite unfriendly. I had a reservation for a non-smoking room and when I arrived they tried to put me in a smoking room. The front desk clerk did work with me to change it. The breakfast is mediocre at best. For a Hampton Inn this establishment is sub-standard.

The hotel is in a great location and overall it is well maintained. Additionally, the breakfast was good. However, the customer service is lacking at this hotel - which was surprising for a Hampton Inn. We booked two hotel rooms for Friday and Saturday night. We left the hotel at about nine in the morning on Saturday and returned to the rooms at about 4:30. When we got back to our rooms only one of the two rooms were cleaned. The room that wasn't cleaned needed new towels and the beds made. The cleaning crew was at the end of the hallway so we called the front desk. The front desk said the would send the cleaning crew over to clean our room. We said that would be great and explained that we were going to be leaving for dinner. The front desk said that would be fine and the room would be cleaned by the time we got back. We returned to rooms at about 10:30 pm and the room was not cleaned. We called again but the front desk advised that the cleaning crew was gone so there wasn't anything they can do. However, they didn't apologize for the inconvenience or asked if we needed anything. We asked that they bring up new towels. This experience is why I would not stay at this hotel again. Because in an area that has so many hotels, it is the little things that takes a hotel from average to excellent.

This hotel is well maintained, clean and quiet. It has free parking and is close to WEGO buses. The buffet is above average for this type of chain (Waffle, Oat meal, Omelet etc etc). A very good hotel for the price (we were lucky to get it at 129 CAD). It is a bit far from the downtown but if the night is warm, you could walk the 30 min on the path of the river.
