“Second stay here, still very good but not as good as last time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

Just wrapped up a three night stay, it was a combo of work and fun. Visited around the same time last year in almost the same room. At check in was informed this was the newer part of the hotel. The rooms are really nice and feel fairly clean and and fresh. I also had to do some work and the free wifi was excellent. It got a bit slow in the evenings which were probably busy times, but otherwise it was stellar.

I was aware that some sort of meal voucher was part of the package. We got a sizeable voucher for The Keg, an awesome $50 Dave and Busters voucher, and a shuttle pass which came in handy. This was all a great added value to the excellent room rate.

I had to do some work in the mornings, was able to have fun in the afternoons, then had to so a little bit of work in the evenings. Because of this we had some challenges with housekeeping. The do not disturb sign was on while I did the work stuff, remove the sign around noon, then head back to the room around 430 - 5ish. First day room was not made up so called the front desk and they sent someone up right away. The second day did the same thing. Returned to the room to find it not made up and a note saying "we tried to stop by at 2:30 and 3:30 and the DND sign was on the door. Please call front desk if you need any towels. What's annoying about it is the room was empty with no sign on the door during the times listed. Called the front desk and went downstairs for a coffee, room was made up upon return. Hopefully it was just a mix up, but it was somewhat irritating and unprofessional compared to our last stay and other stays at Four Points properties.

Other than the housekeeping thing it was a really nice stay and probably would return. Might choose a different hotel if having do the work in the room thing again.

Parking Tip: Noticed in other reviews that there's some complaints about the parking charges. This hotel is connected to the casino so avoid the steep parking charges and park at the casino across the street. It's only $5 or free if you join the players club and show your card. When you enter the casino garage stay on the level at the top of the ramp where the mechanical arm raises. At the far corner there's a door that opens up right to the skywalk leading over to Four Points. It really couldn't be any easier, and certainly is one of the best parking deals in the the fallsview area. I could understand not wanting to bother with this if there's a car load of kids, but as a couple or with friends save your money and park here.

We were very impressed with how the Four Points by Sheraton handled transition. During the month of June 2012 you could tell the main street lobby was under construction, but there was a suido lobby on the back side that beamed of hospitality. The manager was awesome. He made my husband feel like a priviledge guest using his name every time he saw him in the lobby. The coupons for The Keg are an excellent advantage. The rooms were nice (we had a fallsview for two nights and then city view for remainder of week. With adjorning passages to the Hilton and Casino across the street, we were VERY close to the incline passage down to Niagara Park. Actually the closest (besides the Embassy Suites and Marriott, but STILL part of the action of the activity. The pool with two hot tubs and fairly large were part of our daily visit to relax and wind out any excess energy.

Room Tip: Fallsview room if you budget permits. Casino on other side of road, but you can still see the falls...

We stayed here for 1 night in April and had a nice stay. Loved the pool and the hot tub! The only thing that we weren't happy about was that we got a deal through WagJag and were supposed to get the cityview room with a whirlpool but instead got a room with no whirlpool and all you could see out the window was a inn across the street and the parking lot. Also we requested a crib but didn't get one. We were only there for 1 night so we didn't bother to complain. It sucks that we lost money though!! Also the restaurants in the hotel have insane prices. $20 for breakfast at iHop? Go to the all you can eat breakfast buffet and save your money.
The hotel is really nice and all the staff were very friendly.

The hotel itself was great. Nice room, nice amenities, nice location, very nice staff.

3 things brought this review from what would have been a 5 to a 3.

WiFi in the rooms was terrible. When I could connect, the connection would only last 10-15 minutes before I had to re-authenticate via a web page. That was bad enough but it always took between 10-15 minutes to bring up the authentication page in a browser. The worst time was just over an hour. Then speeds on the WiFi were terrible. This made checking on things for work take more than double what it should have.

The room was very clean. The exception was the ice bucket which I had to empty out upon arriving in the room and then again on our second night there. Nothing like having sitting water in a bucket to make you think you can't actually use anything in that bucket.

Last, but not certainly the least were the restaurants. Specifically, IHOP. Upon check-in we were given coupons for $10 off a bill of $25 or more. My wife and I were there with my in-laws and decided to give it a try. Since we had a total of four of these coupons we hoped that we could use at least two while eating. We could not. On top of that, the prices were so inflated that this was our most expensive meal of our entire trip. I know we are in a tourist destination and expected to pay a premium but this was downright thievery. $14 for 2 eggs bacon and toast? $3.69 for a cup of coffee? Come on. Like I said, we ate at The Keg steakhouse that night and it was cheaper than IHOP (and my wife and I split a breakfast). On our last morning in Niagara we asked at the front desk where we could have breakfast and the only recommendation was IHOP. The people at the Four Points should be ashamed to recommend that place. :(

My husband and I "got away" to this hotel for an overnight stay. We arrived early, but they let us check in to an available room - big points from me on this. The hotel had a restaurant off the lobby and a walkway to the Fallsview Casino ans Starbucks (another bonus). They offer a transportation vechicle for a slight fee ($9 per person, per day) to get to sites across town and made it convenient to do a quick run through of other sites. The room had a double size window with a view of the falls (the higher the better), but also had an area in the window which we sat it to take it the sight of the falls. Really, just a great feature to a room with a view. Reasonably priced with great amenities. Can't wait to stay here again.

Room Tip: If you want the fallsview, then ask for a high floor. You can see it from 14 and up, but it is bett...

Stayed 4 nights May 23 - 27. Very close to almost everything. A few blocks from the falls and other attractions. Enclosed walkway to the Fallsview Casino which is nice. One thing I wasn't happy with is what they charge you for parking your own car !!! $23.00 per day ! That was ridiculous. You can understand it if it was valet, but it wasn't.

Clean rooms. Not great restaurants in the hotel, though

one of the professional photos of this hotel shows the word 'four points' blazoned on the top of the building. in reality, that is not the case as we could nt find it at all. the room we had was huge , yes as some reviewers put, a view towards a car park, but if you look over that, you will see the falls. the pool and the spa and the gym were well equipped and the bathroom had a nice touch.
