“Lovely getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2006

My husband and I visited this hotel for a two night getaway. We had a minor problem with our room. The jacuzzi in our suite didn't work the first night when we went to use it. It was a little disappointing but I went to the front desk the next morning and the manager was apologetic and immediately put us in an upgraded room. The hotel was in a great location, the staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious. We went to Tony Romas (located in the hotel) for dinner on the first night, it was very good. The second night we went to The Keg (at the Embassy hotel) It was terrific, great view, good food and lovely staff. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel. Great value for the money!! We can't wait to go back. We have stayed several times before at one of the hotels near Clifton Hill but I found this much more relaxing.

We stayed at the Radisson, this Easter weekend (Sat $119 / Sun $89). Junior king suite (no smoking) on the 5th floor.
Fridge & microwave
King size bed (firm spring mattress....huge)
3 small pillows
spacious room and large bathroom
Windows don't open but air fan was on.
No Falls view but overlooked Fallsview Blvd and a tiny bit of the Horseshoe (Embassy Suites blocked most it out).
Check in (4pm) / check out (11am) quick and painless.
Parking $10 per day in hotel lot, no problems finding space even though the hotel was fully booked.
Attached restaurant is Tony Romas, cheaper than the surrounding eateries and a nice menu. Pizza Hut Express also in the hotel and the Outback Steakhouse across the parking lot.
Well situated to walk to casino, shopping galleria and ride funicular down to Falls level.
Very clean hotel, courteous, helpful staff. Would stay there again.

We overnighted to Niagara Falls from New York. Check in was excellent. Room on 3rd floor with good view of falls. Room and hotel clean and tidy. Long walk to falls as suggested but most of the hotels are on the hill overlooking falls. Struggled a little to find reasonably priced breakfast anywhere but small point really. If you get the Amtrak to Niagara Canada, when you return take a taxi $75 to Depew, Buffalo (USA side). This saves waiting on the train for 3 hours. You must board at 10.30am at Niagara Canada but it does not get to Depew until 1.30pm. You must stay on the train for customs clearance etc. Paying $75 gave us 2 more hours exploring the falls and you cross the border in the cab, easy. Would stay again if we couldn't get reasonable price at Casino or Sheraton as these seem to have a better view of falls. The Graham Family

This hotel was much nicer than I anticipated. Very nice hotel for someone on a budget! The room was large, clean, and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again. The only bad thing about this hotel is the walk it takes to get to the falls, but if you don't want to walk the trolley is reasonably close and it will take you right to the Falls. Overall, this hotel gets 4 stars!

My fiance and I Pricelined this hotel for a spur of the moment trip to Canada right after Christmas. When we first checked in, we got a room with two queen beds, but the phone did not work. We asked to switch rooms and have a king bed. When we got to the room, we found we had a jacuzzi tub and a view of the falls. It was beautiful! There is a lot to do around the area. There is a casino a few blocks away and many restaurants and shops within short walking distance. The valet found out we were going to the casino and drove us over there because it was a bit cold outside. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and the rooms were very clean, although the bed was a bit uncomfortable.

We were put off upon checking in by the fact that the valet we paid for was nowhere to be seen and we were given the key to our room to find it was not the Junior King Suite we had booked - but a room with a king bed (and not much else). We complained to the rep who had checked us in who basically told us it was our mistake and we booked the wrong room and eventually a manager came over and realised that we were right (as the copy of the booking I had proved) and that the room we were given was down as a suite instead of a standard room and changed our room.

The room was actually different from described with a 2 person jacuzzi in the room rather than the sofa (but hey I am not complaining). But the TV was facing the tub instead of the bedroom so you had to sit on the edge of the tub to watch it as it doesn't turn enough to face the bedroom part of the room. It looks like the room we were supposed to get but the bed was moved over and a jacuzzi put in but the rest of the room was never rearranged. Nothing major - really just an inconvenience.

The timothy's coffee was closed most of the time we were there. But there is a Starbucks in the hotel across the road in another hotel. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and a short walk to the new Casino.

The room (other than the layout) was lovely and clean and not in need of anything being repaired unlike some hotels in the Falls. The staff (past check in) were curteous and helpful. But with all the other hotels nearby, I think I would stay somewhere else next time.
