“Speculation view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013 via mobile

The staff, the first impression of any hotel, was awesome! The valets were more than welcoming, great smiles and lots of good advise. Next, the front desk. What a pleasure to deal with, again lots of valuable information, efficient and knowledgeable. Because of availabilty, she moved us to a higher room, I found that to be a nice touch it made me feel special immediately. As I mentioned, what could make a better first impression. But, when that door to our room opened, that was amazing!!!! Niagara Falls just outside our window it s breathtaking!! Each morning, in fact each minute, was looking at a masterpiece. Because the Marriott is in front and to the left we could only see the Horseshoe Falls however, I could have sat and just looked out the window all day but, there was too much to do.
The bathrooms could have used some work, our toilet needed several tries to flush and the shower floor could be retiled. But when we reported the flushing issue, they saw to it immediately and it was corrected. Would have a difficult time taking away credit for that.

We arrived for a quick weekend escape, using some of our Radisson reward/loyalty points. Upon check in, our "thank you, loyal customer, reward room was, in a word, disappointing. It was a handicapped access room, musty, down an almost 'basement' hallway. It was not a palpable reward, more a grudgingly provided "settlement" free room of sorts. I returned to the desk staff, explaining that the room was actually not helpful for a specific medical family issue, and asked for alternatives. My wife had already decided that if this was the best "reward/thank you" room offered, we would seek accommodations elsewhere. Fortunately, we were relocated to the "last available open room for the weekend" which was a definitely acceptable king size bed, well appointed room with full bathroom. With exception of the need for maintenance of the AC unit ( endlessly short cycles on/off), and a wonky TV REMOTE, the room was fine. The location was convenient, the parking was quite workable, breakfast brunch was nice. NICK, the front desk staffer, was quick to resolve our problem, and encouraged me to call directly to specific hotel to confirm details of reservations, when made on national system, to avoid similar issues in future, a piece of advice I will utilize in future hotel adventures.

The people at this hotel are FABULOUS. Front Desk, Victoria, Katie and Daniel and all the others were very, very helpful. We had a fantastic room with the most beautiful view of the falls. The gentlemen outside Brian, Ramsey, Raph, Lee and Gordie were so kind and helpful and even offered to carry me to my room as I had, had knee surgery and hurt myself on the bus and could hardly walk. I think his name was Lee, short hair and greying at the temples, he was FANTASTIC. I cannot say anything bad about this hotel. Clean, friendly and very helpful.

Room Tip: Our room was 938 and best view of the horseshoe falls

We have stayed at Radisson in the past and are a member of their Club Carlson Hotel Reward Program. The room was clean, but we expected to have a refrigerator and microwave like most Radisons offer. We were using points for the stay and according to Club Carlson should have been offered an upgrade, but we weren't. The front desk was friendly and helpful. They do charge $20 dollars a night for parking. I emailed ahead of time and asked if they comped parking for Club Carlson members, they said no but we could use points to park. 1,000 points a night.
You can buy 1,000 points much cheaper then $20. I would email ahead though and keep the email as the front desk told me they never heard of that before. They don't offer and free breakfast.

We have stayed with the Radisson Group previously and generally had a positive experience ,this one was an entirely different matter. Entrance like a concrete jungle ,hotel lobby dingy and not very welcoming. Allocated a room on the extension, I am sure that for a premium the rooms in the main block are much nicer. The first room we were allocated smelt like a cigar ashtray , disgusting , we were moved to a room across the hall ,staff very apologetic, housekeeping should be reporting this back to reception and billing the previous occupant for a deep clean.
Reasonably spacious with everything that was needed but no fridge. Beds comfortable , Wifi poor , air conditioning like an aircraft engine , absolutely appalling , they should not use this room until it has been repaired, to add insult to injury , unsupervised children were room hopping and shouting at each other in the corridors, slamming doors and generally being inconsiderate.
Determined & friendly valet parking but very chaotic with poor communication, they park cars off site despite there being parking on site!
We stayed 2 nights, found Niagara a crowded depressing experience ,a bit like a run down Las Vegas, but I guess it is what you make of it, the Falls are of course spectacular, but that's it . The highlight of this trip was a visit to Niagara on the lake, quaint touristy but very charming with some lovely restaurants (Pricey) , strolling down the side streets and looking at the homes in the area was also very picturesque . This is a wine growing region so worth visiting some of the vineyards.

Room Tip: Pay a premium and refuse to accept a room in the side block we suspect this is where they put packag...

We recently stayed 2 nights in Niagara Falls, when we checked in we were a little disappointed that the air conditioner was extremely noisy (I am a lite sleeper) we notified the front desk, they told us that they were booked full so we could not switch rooms, but they would have it looked at. While we were out for dinner with friends the maintenance staff came to the room and put a complete new unit in that was MUCH quieter and we were quite impressed that they were so prompt and accommodating ... Thank you Radisson Niagara Fallsview !!!

We spent 2 nights here and were pleasantly surprised. The staff here is extremely personable and friendly. From the moment we arrived the valet "Gordo" made us feel welcome. From helping us check-in, bringing our bags to our room and entertaining our son along the way. The view of the falls from our room was spectacular. A few moments after we checked in we received a call from the front desk asking if everything was ok with the room and if there was anything we needed, what service! We had a room with 2 sleep number beds and later that evening we found that one of the controls was not working. We called down to the front desk and they had a maintenance person there in less than 5 minutes. He simply had to reset the system and all was well. Even though the hotel was full it seemed very quiet. The pool is small but was not too crowded. The location provides access to all of the sites and we will definitely return here the next time we visit.

Room Tip: Any room listed as a "falls view" should have a great view of the falls.
