“Last Minute Reservation - First Class Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

A last minute reservation at the Sheraton on the Falls in Niagara Falls, Ontario turned out to be a fantastic decision. The customer service was top notch from the moment I arrived and was checked in within minutes. My initial impression of the room was fantastic. It was spacious, exceptionally clean and was several steps up from many other hotel chains I've stayed with. The room was on the 18th floor and had a magnificent view of the falls. I bumped into one of the employees in the hallway who made a point of asking how everything was and to let her know if I needed anything. This property is located in a perfect location next to all the main attractions iin Niagara and literally seconds away from the US border. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone needing an overnight stay in Niagara.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors with a falls view are highly recommended.

This was our 5th stay at this hotel and it is again the service that brings us back. Many hotels offer views of the falls so I rule that factor out in deciding where to stay. What seperates Sheraton from many others is the service plain and simple. Also they have everything to do and see right in the complex.

Room Tip: Best views are on the South East side if the Falls are your thing.

Could not be more disappointed with our room. Paid $469 for two storey Penthouse suite that has the worst view in the hotel. The quality of the furnishings are not Sheraton. When we look at the website they cleverly do not show the view of the Penthouse suite. When we asked to be moved they we sold out.

I stayed here for one night to see the falls. We got a really cheap deal and it was about worth what we paid (£64 for a twin double room), but the room was an internal room with windows on to the conference centre. It was also quite noisy. We could clearly hear the people in the adjoining room and in the corridor. It's a big, busy hotel and the impression I got from my stay was it was very much catering to families and conferences.

On the plus side the room was nice, the beds were super comfortable, the toiletries in the bathroom were nice and the location is superb, you couldn't be much closer to the Maid of the Mist. I'd consider staying there again but I'd pay a little more for a Falls view.

Room Tip: Make sure you're getting a room with a window to the outside world, not internal windows!

We were assigned a room on the 4th floor facing the interior of the hotel, while I booked a "City View" room. I did NOT see the city, but I only saw the inside of the hotel. Ceiling is extremely low. Overall you feel you are in a non-breathable can.

Also the signs to places connected to the hotel, such as the casino, are not clear, if exist at all.

The room itself, such as carpet, bedding, bathroom, is fine. But my room was just miserable.

Room Tip: Breakfast is very good with a great view of the fall.

This was our second stay at the Sheraton and it was better than the first. Friendly and patient staff and quick and easy check in to start. The room was fantastic......comfortable, spacious and extremely clean. The rooms with the view of the falls are a must. We have stayed in many other hotels on both sides of the border and this is our top choice. The restaurants are top notch as well. We were here for the water park and you never really have to outside for anything. Of course the weather was perfect so we did and the "strip" is right there....the fall are right there and of course the Rainbow Bridge is right there. The convenience alone makes the Sheraton a great spot but you could have this hotel in a desert and it would still be worth the visit.

Thank you and we will see you next year.
