“Friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Hallways were a bit warm. Did not use restaurants or pool. As far as the walk to the Falls area it was a bit far for us especially with the heat. I would not recommend walking to the US side from the hotel or walking with young children.

This was the first and last time we are going to stay here . The Hotel's website shows the atrium Wit about a six story structure and we were placed in a single story motel like structure a long way to the main lobby almost used the map . Looking out the room window was a view of the parking lot . The table lamps did not work TV was analoge only 35 channels no movie channels. The rooms fridge had no door on the freezer compartment . Worst of all was the dining room Basically metal patio furniture placed in an empty room with little thought of decor it lacked ambience !

Room Tip: Get a room 2 stories up . Rooms off the atrium are noisy with kids in the pool . Good dining wa...

Okay, it's two kilometers from the Falls. That might be the best part. You are spared the relentless din from all that revelry at the street level which plague the other overrated hotels closer to the Falls. So, if you are adventurous, you could walk the couple of kilometers to the Falls. Add to that the fact that the staff is excruciatingly polite, helpful and professional. This Saturday, I asked a young lady at the reception to confirm that I had the right directions to Crystal Beach. She wasn't satisfied, and so she printed us better directions. That's how you know you are in a good a place. The staff will help even with things that don't concern their services.

Oh, the hotel? Well, our room was huge. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The reception area was nicely decorated. There was an ice machine my (fifth) floor, and another on the third floor. On one side of the hotel is a McDonalds, on the other a supermarket called "No Frills" where I loaded up on water and refreshments, a cost-saving measure that is hard to overemphasize. And, in a town where parking is at a premium, the hotel offered free parking. And the price? Awesome. What's not to like?

What are the negatives? I really can't find any. Okay, it's not a luxury hotel, but it's the closest thing without spending your kids' inheritance. It meets and exceeds all your expectations.

Stayed at this hotel on a short trip with my 13 year old son. Room wasn't ready for our early check-in but front desk was very nice and asked us to return a couple hours later. Our request of a quiet room was honored. Public areas were spotless, including the pool in the courtyard. Our room was very clean and the air-conditioning ice cold. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the food was also good value for the money. Although it's not walking distance to the Falls we would stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms in the "tower" are quiet.

This was a nice hotel beds comfortable and the pool and hot tube were excellent. The only issue I had was the internet would not connect and not much signal on the 3rd floor in the tower!!

We did not eat in the restaurants at the hotel.

We may stay here again.

Room Tip: The tower was nice to stay in.

This was our second stay at this hotel for a baseball tournament. We like it very much for the atmosphere, the pool/spas/game area are great for the kids, keeps them entertained. The front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating, we arrived a bit early and they checked us right in without hesitation. I have to say the room itself is of course somewhat dated..they did upgrade their TV's to flat screens..thank goodness. I don't like the fact that the toilet and tub are in a separate room from the sink?? makes no sense to me....Our room was in the atrium along with the other team members close to the pool, we were on the first floor which was good so you dont have to lug much up and down stairs. Please note that if you get a room in the atrium (which is very hot and humid) your room will feel very humid, I found that even my sheets seemed damp even though the AC was on. Overall this hotel is great for large gatherings and all around fun. The rooms not so great, but clean.

My group of 18 enjoyed a stay and play package yesterday. Our golf at Niagara Legends was exceptional and the accommodations at the Best Western Cairn Croft on Lundy's Lane were greatly improved over last year. We had very clean rooms with full amenities and enjoyed dinner at the in-house restaurant - The Croft - where Colleen served our whole group drinks and dinner. She was amazing. I recommend this facility for groups, families or individuals.
