“Great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2009

Remember, each experience is unique! Check the dates of other reviews (some are from 2006).....and the hotel has updated their interior and improved services!
Unexpectedly pleasant stay at the Best Western on Fallsview. Happy to cancel Marriot two days prior and save double de money I would have spend. The staff is more than helpful and nice. No delay or problems at the front desk when we arrived. Rooms are very clean, updated (no Plasma in the room, but who cares....We missed a fridge). The hotel is quiet although pet friendly. We don't have any pets, but I found it amazing that fact that they are the only nice hotel at Niagra Falls that welcome pets. I haven't heard one bark and in the lobby there is a blackboard with the names of all the pets present in the hotel :)
This hotel has balconies........you can actually open the door, step out and have a drink and enjoy the view on the balcony.
Kids enjoyed the inside and outside pool and hot tub.

We stayed here 2 nights and it was fine. The location was great, but the quality of the rooms wasn't like those of the expensive high-rises. But we only paid 70 bucks Canadian a night. Walking distance to everything (Maid of Mist, Journey behind falls, incline railway, Clifton Hill). Only real complaint was that the outdoor hot tub wasn't hot. Parking was an extra 10 bucks a night, but I think that's the standard in the town.

Staff was rude and generally unpleasant. They gouge you for every nickle and dime but that's not the half of it. After crashing there just for a few hours I woke up the next morning to find a itchy red rash on my leg. It got worse over the next day or so, so I finally visited the doctor. They said I must have been in contact with microorganisms or insects. Gross. I hope it gets better.

This is a great locations. Just blocks from the falls. We booked online with their managers special to prepay for only $110.00 US for everything ( room, taxes, and parking). However when we checked out they charged us again for the parking and I explained to them that I already paid for that. They didn't believe me and said I had to pay it. Even the manager got involved and wouldn't credit it back.
The rooms are very large!!!! We had a room with 2 queen beds. The bathroom is very large also.
Great place to stay at a great price!!

They have a new chef who has good credentials. His philosophy is to use fresh local food, with a fantastic menu based on what is in season. A few items were in contenders, got down to the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin with fruit compote & roasted red potatoes, but decided on the basil rubbed chicken coz it had snap peas and spinach and I needed something green to ward off scurvy. Washed down with a nice pino grigot.

This place makes travelling with a dog a pleasure (they walk your dog for you, if you want to go out somewhere, day or night - you can kennel the pet, or leave in the room). This gave us lots of flexibility for a great holiday. Also, the place accommodates cyclists, is well located for staggering back from the casino. Staff are THE BEST, they let us extended our check out so we could go to the IMAX. Place is well maintained and I recommend the 2 queen bed room looking towards the american falls.... you can watch the fireworks from a really nice balcony.

This was my 3rd time there, and will go again.

Loved to sit on the balcany. Rooms were very spacious, new carpet, but no fridge. Pool looked nice, but we did not use it. Very close to the falls, but about a 10 min walk to clifton hill. Parking is extra. Very quite and I thought with the spot lights outside that it might be very bright, but once the curtains where closed it was very dark. The beds where very comfortable. Got it with my airmiles and was very impressed that it was free!!

We had a great experience at this hotel, unlike other reviews I have read. we do travel with a pet, and the staff was welcoming and accomodating. there is a "kennel area" with dog crates where they will supervise your pet while you tour the falls - perfect. they walked our dog, gave him water and treats, kept him safe and happy. The room was large, clean, and had a private fenced balcony just perfect for a pet in a room, and for us to relax after a day at the falls. We had our anniversary dinner in the Bistro at the hotel (again, they watched the dog for us) - this was a memorable experience. The ambiance, the music, the food prepared with ingredients from local markets - all perfect. The staff was helpful, accomodating, and friendly. We did not care that we had a parking charge or a $25 pet fee - the room rate to begin with was so reasonable - $69 for two queen beds and spacious. We could walk to the falls and all the attractions and never had to move the car for two days. With or without a pet, this would have been a great place to stay, but with a pet, you can't beat it!
