“Great food for a good price!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2009

We ate at Shoeless Joe's twice during our weekend stay. It was right across the street from our hotel so we walked over after checking into the Hilton the first night. We were greeted & immediately seated outside as we requested. Nice patio area to sit in and away from noise in the restaurant. Our server was Laura and she was fantastic. We ordered soft drinks and they were brought out right away. My husband had the Chipotle Chicken Wrap and i had the San Diego Flatbread off the appetizer menu with a house salad. My husband said the wrap was incredible and it came with shoestring French fries that were quite tasty (I had to try a few). The flatbread was awesome and piled high with ingredients. The salad was somewhat bland but ok. Total bill came to $40 something with the tip. Two days later, we dined at Shoeless Joe's again for dinner after two unsuccessful attempts eating elsewhere. We were again seated outside quickly and had the same waitress, Laura. She remembered us from the other night and even remembered what we ordered :) My husband had the fish & chips and I had the Diablo Shrimp Pasta. The fish & chips (French fries again) were very good and the piece of fish was humongous. The pasta was incredible but a bit spicy for my taste. I think we spent $60 total with tip.

Overall, great food in a fun atmosphere. We ended up there on a UFC fight night so inside was loud & crowded but if you like to dine outside, this is perfect. Overall a wonderful experience.

“Nice outdoor dining spot”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2009

Lunched at Shoeless Joe's only after discovering the Wolgang Puck's restaurant had closed. The plus was a nice patio filled with pretty flowers to sit. Definitely would not want to sit inside. Food offered-- burgers and salad type entrees. One in our party had a drink that did not have any flavor of liquor in it--asked the bartender to work on it--he was not too happy-- a surely guy for sure. The food is mediocre at best. The server we had was Ryan, a very pleasant, friendly guy doing his best to make the most pleasant experience for his customers. Hamburgers in this establishment can only be cooked well --so if you like anything less definitely skip it.

“Decent meal but very basic for Americans.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2009

Anyone who thinks this is a great restaurant isn't very sophisticated. This is a good restaurant that is a step up from TGI Friday's. We sat on the patio and had an enjoyable meal. We ordered a bison burger with sweet potato fries and a turkey clubhouse salad. Both were solid but nothing special and the bill was $40 for lunch for two. Service was okay but not great. We had to ask for refills, the bill, and then ask to send the bill with the card after it was dropped off. We would go back as there isn't a lot of competition for people who don't want kids food for lunch in this area. We did not have a problem with the noise level as some did but we were outside and it was 2:30 on a Saturday.

“Noisy sports bar”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2009

Unfortunately we ate here on the first night of the Stanley Cup finals. There was a very loud and obnoxious group in the bar area who really ruined things for everyone else. Our table was in odd spot, on the outer wall of the restaurant very isolated in sight (but not hearing) from the main restaurant. The table had a TV, not HD like in the bar. My meal, Thai stir fry was very good, my husbands steak, just OK. Prices were reasonable.

“Food here is better than most.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2009

This restaurant is located in the (Fallsview)Casino. We were the only people there at 9:30 pm on a weeknight, so the service was fast. My husband ordered salmon and said it was "THE BEST" ever. I ordered Thai Chicken and that was very tasty with rice and veggies not overcooked. Bill came to $50. Canadian with drinks but no dessert. Each booth has its own TV..I think it may just carry the sports channel, but that was ok since we got to watch the Pittsburg/Detroit hockey game while we ate.
