“I'm glad I stayed there”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

I had a one day meeting in Toronto and the hotel was perfect for such an event. I got off my plane and took the airport monorail to the end of Terminal 3. Once out of the monorail station, it was a short walk to the hotel. It had a Scandinavian feel to it, with a clean and simple appearance. The room was comfortable, the meeting room was adequate, the service was professional and friendly. The gym was good for a hotel gym. The food I had there was good. I would stay there again.

We have stayed at many hotels all around the world. We stayed at this hotel after a flight home from Korea and we loved it. The room was beautiful and modern. The bathroom was clean and filled with soaps, fluffy towels and lotions. It was so easy to get from the airport to the hotel. We just took the monorail and then it was a 2 minute walk from the station. The service was awesome and the staff seemed very happy. The bed was big and comfortable with a duvet and four large pillows. Also, the room is very tech friendly. There is a ipod dock alarm clock, a large lcd TV with a separate panel above the desk to connect HDMI, usb, dvi and other connectors to hook up your computer and iPad if you have the cables. This is a great hotel and we highly recommend it.

I stayed at this hotel a night before my trip south and opted for the 15 day parking package. I have stayed at another hotel in previous trips but found the price to be comparable and the bonus with this hotel was that parking was in the viscount garage that uses the link train to get to the airport instead of having to wait for a bus that stops and every hotel on the strip. I loved the accomodation, it is super modern, nice tv set and connection plugs so that you can connect your own electronics to the tv. I was able to watch a movie from my ipad on the tv set. The tv also offered several hd stations so that the picture was nice and clear. I was in a room with two queen size beds, so the bathroom had a tub with a shower. I loved the high tech modern look of the hotel. It reminded me of a modern hotel that I stayed in when I was in shanghai. The only downside is that there are no real restaurants in the area. If you do not want to drive your only option is to buy food from the hotel which seemed to consist of preprepared sandwiches or to go to the airport where your selections are somewhat limited. That was just a minor inconvenience and would certainly consider staying there again.

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Tripadvisor following your recent stay at the Alt Hotel Toronto Pearson.

I was delighted to hear that you overall enjoyed your stay with us on this occasion and in particular the design and features of our bedroom. Indeed our location is ideal for guests who are looking to stay near the Airport when travelling on short breaks and our connection to the terminals is very quick and very easy with the new Tram Link train in operation at Pearson.

Thank you once again for sharing your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future.

So the Alt Toronto made me happy. That's not easy to do when I am on a long business trip. The room was cool, the bed was great, the shower rocked and it was about 50 yards from the new link rail. I am thinking of reasons to go back to Toronto just to stay at Alt.

We had a fantastic stay at this new hotel right near Toronto International Airport. The airport can be reached in under 5 minutes using the FREE link train to either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 which runs 24/7. There is also a cafe on the ground level of the hotel which is open 24 hours a day - perfect for grabbing some food after a late flight/ before an early one!

The room had a modern design with a glass wall separating the shower from the main body of the room! There is also an iPod docking station/ alarm clock on the bedside table and a control panel under the TV which allows laptops to be plugged in via HDMI/VGI etc.

Would definitely stay again if an airport stopover is needed!

Room Tip: Room 610 was great with a view right across Toronto International Airport!

Great location near the airport. This is an interesting hotel. The room we had was small, but did not feel small. The decor and style remind me Ikea. They make good use of the space and it feels modern. We only stayed for a night prior to a trip, which is probably how most people would use this hotel. They have a parking package that we used. You need to bring in your parking slip from the lot and remember to give them your plate number. They keep the slip and you need to push the call button when you are exiting the parking with your plate number. While it is not really the hotel's fault, I found the exiting of the parking garage less ideal as it took several minutes for the attendant to answer and look up our details (stressful if you have a line up behind you). Will stay here again.

Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Tripadvisor following your recent stay at the Alt Hotel Toronto Pearson.

I was delighted to hear that you overall enjoyed your stay with us on this occasion.

With regards to our Sleep and Fly package that we offer to our guests, indeed due to the fact the parking lot that we use is owned and operated by Pearson Airport our guests were experiencing some short delays in exiting the garage. However I am pleased to announce that following a recent meeting we have had with the Airport Authority, starting in March we will have a new system in place where our guests will be given an exit ticket which they will be able to use to leave the garage when they return from their trip. This new system will now eliminate the need for our guests to ring the intercom at the gate and wait for the attendant to allow our guests to exit the parking lot.

Thank you once again for taking the time to share your feedback and we very much look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future.

This is a great property. Only a few steps to the LINK train station, and then only a couple minutes train ride to the terminals at Toronto Pearson Airport.

The hotel and rooms are trendy and minimalist with some exposed concrete here and there. Rooms are designed and decorated in such a way that they feel more luxurious than they really are. The hotel does not offer excessive amenities such as a pool, or full service restaurant; this helps to keep the room rate low. They do offer a convenient cafe (with coffees, beers, breakfast and lunch items), comfortable lobby, and friendly service. This all translates to exceptional value.

We stayed here for 2 nights in total, 1 night at each end of a trip with connecting flights to and from the Caribbean. On the morning after the first night, there were some mechanical issues and we did not have hot water. This obviously was an inconvenience for us as we were heading out for a flight and could not shower; if not for this glitch the Alt would receive a 5 out of 5.

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Tripadvisor following your recent stay at the Alt Hotel Toronto Pearson.

I was delighted to hear that you overall enjoyed your stay and also the design of the hotel. Indeed the Alt Hotel offers a unique experience and is a very unique designed hotel.

I would like to once again extend our apologies for the mechanical issue we had with the hot water during one of your visits. This was due to a major mechanical fault in our boiler system which consequently resulted in the system to fail. However I am very pleased to say that we have identified what the issue was and have rectified it, consequently we do not expect this problem to re-occur again in the future.

Thank you once again for taking the time to share your feedback with us and we very much look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future.
