As fairly frequent flyers out of Pearson, we've stayed at the Doubletree on Dixon Rd, which is good value and great beds, the Holiday Inn on Dixon, which we like as comfy and heated bathroom floors, the Four Points Sheraton on Dixon which is comfortable as well, the Crown Plaza, which is ok and right close to the airport but we thought the bed was hard, and now the Hampton Inn just off Dixon Rd.
We booked for a one night pre flight stay and 8 days parking. We always request a king bed. When my wife booked, she was offered a suite for only ten dollars more so we took that. The room is spacious with a comfy sitting area, pull out couch, chair, big desk and even a kitchenette sink, counter, bar fridge and microwave along with included popcorn and the usual coffee / tea. TV is modern LCD.
The room is well decorated but more importantly, seems very clean. The bed is very comfy with nice linen. A big plus.
My wife says the price was very competitive if not less than the others at this time. Different times if the year, we find prices fluctuate among those hotels, so it pays to call and shop a bit.
Hampton Inn offers some free breakfast, or for us early risers, we get a brown bag with apple, water, granola bar, and muffin, as we rush out the door to the airport shuttle at 5:30am. That's a nice touch to us, who are used to buying a Timmy's muffin the night before so we have a small bite in the morning prior to flight boarding.
We have had good luck at the Hampton Inn Carolina, Puerto Rico, pre-cruise as well, so we think they are consistent in quality and value.
Good job Hampton Inn!
