“No air conditioning!!!! great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

I was there on a confrence for three days and two of those days there was NO AIR CONDITIONING in the rooms, confrence rooms....anywhere. it was hell. check before you go that the air conditioning is on when you go because I guess they have to turn it off from time to time because of the permanant residents that live there (no idea why it was off but check first)

Great location...near some really cute resturants, water and harbour. I had the pleasure to run part of the amazing waterfront trail. The rooms were great and very comfortable with the balcony over looking the water.

Would be a great place to stay if you are in the area :)

Dear Ms. Weld

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay with us. Unfortunatly there are short periods of time in the spring and in the fall that provide air conditioning challanges when we transition. We have reviewed our procedures and have implemented changes for this coming fall and will review the success of those changes at that time. Reviews such as yours help us immensly in identifying the items that are most important to you in providing an exceptional experience. Thank you for reccomending us and please let us know when you are returning to the area.

Sincerely

After coming back from a Caribbean Cruise & not wanting vacation to end I booked a residential suite @ this awesome Inn - I was on the 11th floor in a corner unit. It had a window in the kitchen overlooking the Toronto Skyline - yes, CN Tower view & Lake Ontario. The living room had ceiling to floor - wall to wall windows that opened to a large balcony facing Lake Ontario and Snug Harbour on my right. Was entertained by Cormaran & Sea Gulls in the a.m. What a show! The bedroom also had a window and the COMFIEST bed I've ever slept in. Beautiful furniture and headboard also. It is carpeted but otherwise It has Dark wood in the living area and a Persian rug in living room. Laminated floors in entrance, beautiful bathroom & kitchen. Kitchen has combined washer/dryier, dishwasher, full size fridge & stope and a microwave that featured a fan, light and several cooking options of one touch press. Kitchen has modern white cupboards & a douple sink. I just loved cooking my daily meals in this open space - open lake view. Comfy sofa & chairs plus a desk area for computer laptop or writing area facing the lake. I absolutely loved my 4 day stay - It was very clean in the unit - very modern & spacious. Quiet & Peace was mine to have - much appreciated. The website claims that it is a fully equipped kitchen however they promptly brought me things that I required on two occasions. All the staff were friendly, professional & accommodating. The only complaint I guess would be that the balcony needed cleaning or bug webs and windows had not been washed yet this year - This stay was in Mid May - off season rate - I'm sure they plan to clean it real soon. Highly recommend this little piece of heaven. Oh yes... Took lots of photos/videos of sunrises! Wish my photos were downloaded... I would add some here - maybe later... ENJOY!

Room Tip: Get a corner unit that has a window in the kitchen and a floor on or above the 7th.

This hotel is very well located at the waterside of Lake Ontario in the south of Toronto. The hotel itself is very big (more than 10 floors) and not really the newest one but very well equipped and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Our first room was on the 7th floor and really very hugh. We had a bathroom, a bedroom (incl. one kingsize bed), a living room and separate kitchen area (incl. dishwasher, washing machine).
After changing the room (we wanted two beds) we have been on the second floor in a smaller room (without living room and kitchen). But this room as well was very good. All stuff you need was inside and we had a real good stay in this hotel.

Only three bad points to mention:
--> the air-condition was broken
--> each morning the local laundry service arrived under our window (at 5a.m.)
--> the price per night was very high (excl. CAD$20 for breakfast)

But at least everything was fine and we enjoyed the time.

First time for brunch on a Sunday and I have to say that this place was interesting. The food selection was adequate, juices were from a carton so not to special, coffee was good if you could get more than a cup served from the servers. Service was interesting. They were very good at taking your old plates however not very good at giving you more coffee and water. The buffet is situated in the lobby of the hotel so if you are comfortable having guests walk next to the buffet table with their luggage, then this place is for you. I got turned off that any person entering or exiting the hotel got to walk right through the buffet table, sneeze and cough as they walk on by. That made me a tad disgusted. Not sure if I would return again. Great view from the restaurant and the seating was very comfortable. However it was faily loud inside as there were many guests talking a storm. Perfect place for a large family function however if it was just you and your wife then stay clear away from this place as you will not be able to talk to one another.

This hotel is a mini apartment style acommodation. The rooms are spacious, clean and have a private balcony!! The balcony overlooks the harbour which is wonderful watching the sunset and swans in the early morning.
Staff are helpful and very nice.

Room Tip: We had the two bedroom suite and it was perfect!

I stayed out at the Waterside Inn when it proved impossible to get a room in downtown Toronto. As it's less than 10 minutes walk to the train station, and then about 20 minutes into Union station, this is quite a reasonable option.

I stayed in a standard suite, but even the standard suites are roomy, with a decent bathroom and kitchen (no pans or oven sheets, so how do you cook anything?) and a big lounge area and desk. Very comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day.

The Breakwater restaurant is a good option for dinner or breakfast, and Sunday Brunch is a big deal, but there are some other good options nearby in Port Credit.

Staff were uniformly helpful and friendly.

Gym is a bit small - one treadmill, one step machine and weights.

Internet is free, and fast, but wired only - if you want to use an iPad or smartphone, you'll need to bring your own hub.

All in all, a good place to go.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view

Great location - easy access from the QEW, less than a ten minute walk to the GO train and free parking included. We had a spotlessly clean one-bedroom suite facing the lake. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well-served in the lovely dining room complete with white linen tablecloths and napkins. Felt it was somewhat expensive considering that our stay was during the "off-season. Hotel did not seem busy.
