The food is amazing and the staff friendly. Frequently dine at Bistro Narra since it opened. The chef/owner and his wife are very hospitable to their customers.

“Innovative cuisine hiding out in the suburbs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

Narra never disappoints! This little gem sits in a most unsuspecting suburban strip mall, and is worth discovering! The creations from the open kitchen, are testament to a creative team who strive to compete with the best, in freshness, inspiration, presentation, and service.
We dine out at least once a week, finding Toronto restaurants to offer that superior quality we look for. No need to trek to T.O ! Our prix fixe menu enjoyed at Narra this week, stands to rival our Toronto haunts, of Canoe, Centro, and Mistura ! Sliced roast beet lightly dressed in citrus with herbed chevre on fresh greens to start, was perfectly chilled and balanced. The 'chef's' creation, ... a creamy mushroom risotto, just the perfect size, to share a few bites. The main course was a tuna steak, seared quickly, to ensure the fish remained tender, flavourful, and moist, accompanied by a delightful gingered salsa, and vegetables over creamy polenta. We shared a warm plum strudel ( a specialty of Austrian chef/owner Franz), with the most delightful macerated plum sauce to dress the plate.
Narra is on our list of regular "go to's"!

“Nice restaurant, good food with the "touch" of an excellent chef”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2013

My family and I come here very often, mostly on Saturdays, for brunch. I like a lot of things about this restaurant, starting with the fact that it has an open kitchen!

This time my wife had the Narra Egg Special and I the Narra Benedict (with the Hollandaise on the side, as I like the flavour but not the excessive quantity that some put on top of your poached eggs!).

The bacon in my wife's Egg Special was simply Perfect: tasty, crisp and crunchy!

The green salad served with both orders has a simple, yet unique "touch", which for me is the mark of s superior chef: the dressing is there only to "link" the different greens; it is still delicious, but in no way overwhelming!
And the salad is properly tossed, before being put in its respective serving "bowl" - I make a big point of this, as there are many restaurants where the cook just drops the dressing on top of the salad, so when you first try it all you taste is balsamic and other ingredients...

Very limited, but good wine offering.

The service is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the prices are correct.
Excellent neighborhood restaurant!!

“Good food, nice restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

Have eaten 5 times in the last year. It is always a good experience. Food has always been good. My husband had a clam chowder with just a hint of chocolate, which tasted surprisingly good! Their mushroom salad is also very good, but perhaps a little too large, although value wise is great. Their crepes are good as well.

Service is okay. Sometimes, depending on where they seat you, it seems like the servers don't see you. But that can happen just about any place.

Decor is nice and modern.

“Just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

I chose this restaurant because it's ranked #2 in Mississauga but I wasn't wowed.... the food was ok. I had a wild mushroom salad that was covered in heavy dressing, followed by a chicken wrap that lacked flavour. I ordered the wrap on a regular tortilla but they brought it to me on whole wheat. I will give them credit for trying to resolve the error, I didn't feel it was worth returning the sandwich for them to remake it so they offered me a complimentary coffee or dessert, neither of which I was interested in after a pretty substantial meal.
