“A decent hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2007

In contrary to some negative comments about this hotel, we found this hotel is very good. My wife and I stayed two nights at the hotel. It looks much better inside than outside that has unpleasant gray color. The room is clean and the front desk was helpful and friendly. it offers free storage for your valuables like laptop and passport, etc. It's conveniently located, a few minutes away from the airport by free shuttle bus from which you can take public transportation to downtown Toronto and you don't have to worry about finding parking lot.

I stayed here for four nights while travelling for business......show at the exhibition hall down the road. So the location was convenient, but unfortunately, that was the best feature of the hotel.
The rooms were lightly cleaned.....there was hair in the bathrooms, dust was evident both in the rooms and public areas....I could go on.
I couldn't believe the outrageous prices for the terrible food in the dining room, but I guess not being close to any alternatives makes it hard to go anywhere else.
On the other hand, the staff were friendly and the rooms were nice and large, but I think I'd look and find another, better spot next time.

This is not your average Hilton hotel. There is nothing about it that remotely reminds you that it is a Hilton. It's just a very homogenous airport hotel. There is a Keg restaurant a quarter mile down the road on the opposite side. And there is a sidewalk despite what a previous reviewer said. Only stay here if you want somewhere to rest your head.

Well this hotel is a expensive and over priced! The food is costly a hamburger is $ 13 and the Subway close to is not much better! Good thing for Tim Hortons the only thing is risk your life no sidewalks leading to it as it's more for car users!
The hotel has some good things nice staff and lobby is clean and the bar well pretty boring at most again the drinks are twice the price any where else!
Lots of parking and the hotel room well the bed was nice and the supplies were nice the coffee maker was the pits and so was the coffee!
Save yourself some money and book the qualitly inn down the street!

  • Liked — The Bed
  • Disliked — No fast food places around this hotel so your going to spend a lot staying here!

Nice big room. Furniture stained & dated.

Receptionist was hopeless.

Allow enough time for the Shuttle transfer to the Terminal. We waited ages.

I got this place on Hotwire as I needed a place to stay due to an early flight.

I checked in and was given room 730, which was a standard room with a king bed. This room was in the so-called 'deluxe tower' (the pretty blue tower you see in the front), and in my opinion, there was nothing deluxe about it. The room was old and outdated, with a rock hard bed with an UGLY bedspread that you'd likely find in a motel (no nice duvets here!), as well as a SHAMPOO DISPENSER in the shower, not what you'd expect at a supposed 4-star hotel.

My bathroom had hair all around it, and when I complained, a very rude housekeeper showed up at my door and said 'oh well you shouldn't take a shower and then complain that theres hair in the bathroom', among other things. Upon complaining about the room and informing the management I would call Hotwire about this, I was told by the manager that I was being moved to the 'suite tower' (the ugly-looking building in the back).

The first thing I said when I entered room 360 was 'wow!' It was a dramatic improvement over the standard room. This was a so-called 'deluxe room' and I'm assuming this is where this hotel gets its 4-star rating.

It was a large room, with beautiful furnishings, and a curtain seperating the bedroom with the living room area. I was told the room was recently renovated.

Those who favor baths over showers may be disappointed; as this room only had a walk-in shower, however, the water pressure was the best I've ever experienced in a hotel; it can knock the removable hand held showerhead right off the holder if you turn up the water pressure enough.

My advice is to avoid standard rooms; and to upgrade to a 'deluxe room'. Perhaps this is what the Hotwire inspector got when they stayed here...

  • Liked — Room 360
  • Disliked — The 'Deluxe tower'-avoid it!

We stayed here in 2 consecutive weeks. The first stay, we were given a room, where the faucet at the tub wasnt working. And we were surprised to learn that there is charge for parking, which was $15/per car/per night, which to me was unreasonable. We were then given a car pass, which didnt work on our way out for dinner. Toiletries werent complete, they had shampoo but no conditioner. (In Hilton in Montreal, the toiletries were complete. the car pass was working). Later, we booked for the weekend again, hoping things would be better. No change. Still, the car pass didnt work, and it was the time for checkout so you can just imagine the long line of cars waiting because the car pass wasnt working. And the employees knew about it, bec we complained the first time. It seemed like they didnt care at all. So its a big "Never again!" from then on we stayed at Four Seasons by Sheraton, free internet, complimentary bottled water, free parking, late checkout, very clean white fluffy towels, detailed washrooms, nice sized bed. the room might be smaller compared to Hilton but its way better
