We stayed at this hotel on a layover and booked it through a reliable website. Upon arrival, we wanted to use a different credit card than the one we had used on the booking site. It was a chip card. The man at the front desk, took the card (not totally unusual as many businesses are still not equipped for the chip) and completed the check-in. We flew on our merry way the next day to our vacation destination in the Caribbean during which time we did not use the card. Upon return home to Manitoba, we had 4 fraudulent charges on our credit card, the first of which was a telephone card purchased in Mississauga while we were in the Caribbean - coincidence? I think not! The other three charges were for prepaid credit cards in Bucharest, Romania. We contacted the hotel immediately upon learning of the charges. The manager assured us that he would look into the matter and check his security cameras. He also assured us that he would contact us. This was a week and a half ago and we have received absolutely no call. While we understand that fraud happens, not only would we not trust the front desk staff at this hotel, we are also very unimpressed that no effort has been made to contact us by the management. If you stay here - beware! keep your card in hand! We will not be staying here again - EVER!
