“Beautiful Vintage French Home in Downtown London Serving Delightful Epicurean Cuisine”
Each time I dine at the little chateau in London, I am transported back to a time when I lived in Europe, and delighted to sit, and to taste, and to share, and to enjoy camaraderie among friends. The ambience is old-world France, complete with original fireplace circa 16th Siècle brought from France via ship, with traditional French chanteuses music playing romantically in the background. The bar is colourful and lively, and there are two rooms in the front of the restaurant that peek out in to a courtyard through lots of glass windows. I have broken bread there with my Mother occasionally, and with my Husband , as well as my grown Children , and a Girl Friend. Sometimes I carry out soup!!! On each separate occasion, the meals are prepared exquisitely and the service is prompt OR as you wish it - as slowly and relaxed as you choose. The wait staff pay close attention to the atmosphere at each table and clearly aim to please. Our favourite items on the menu include the lamb (always cooked to perfection), the fish entrées(with sublime seasoning), the Foie Gras Appetizer, the tenderloin (from local farmers who raise the grain fed cattle in a humane fashion) - I guess I would have to mention the entire menu - in all fairness. AND - the desserts are delicate and "delish". Even though there is plenty of food, one never feels overfull - the portions are designed with healthy measure. Catherine is lovely and makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable from the moment of entry until departure. PS. I studied French Cooking under the direction of Chef Pascal Dionot in Scottsdale , AZ.

Thank you for your touching review. There is such a rich history in this building that I gain pieces of regularly. I know that even before my time there was much effort into the concept of this establishment. I am happy to be a part of what has been a consistent positive experience for you. We hope to see you in again soon for some more 'delish' desserts & Foie Gras! -- Also humanely raised :-)
